I agree with you on just one point and that is value. In terms of value there is none that can be  compared to bitcoin but i guess we cannot look at two enties in just one sense right? If that is so then let's consider the rate of consaction on bitcoin network as compared to ethereum blockchain. Again let's talk of convenience of blockchain, which of the blockchains is easier to use and adapt to. So please next time when we are looking at an issue let's just tackle it appropriately. Bitcoin has no competition only in its value, and nothing else.

For now bitcoin is too strong compared to other coins, from more than 1700 coins and bitcoin marketcap tokens reaching almost 50%, of course this shows that bitcoin is too strong and can be said bitcoin has no competition.

I think it's hard for us to have predictions that bitcoin will be replaced by another crypto coin,
because bitcoin is the mother of several crypto coins and as an exchange rate point.

Bitcoin has no competition because it has no practical application and it is used only for speculation. I think this is a questionable advantage of bitcoin.

No that's just stupid. Do you think the price of Bitcoin would go up as high as $20k if it has no value at all? You better get your facts straight before commenting anything in here. It's not just a play money or something that's used by people just to speculate.

Definitely there is no competition  for bitcoin, as the mother of all coin nothing can be compared to it as at now. Am not really conversant with altcoin but apparently i do not think that any of them is potent enough to compet. The bitcoin fraternity will continue to grow and advance.

All those FUDsters that where saying year ago how Bitcoin would fail because another currency would take over get proven wrong year after year. The more time Bticoin is alive, the stronger it gets and the bigger the network effect. Sorry but there will not be a Bitcoin 2.0. Bitcoin will go to 100k+ per coin in the next 5 to 10 years, it will absorb all the value researched in the field if not directly through protocol improvements then through sidechains.

Bitcoin will remain the only solid coin. The only coin that survived for the longest time (other coins can't claim this unless they invent a time machine).
There will be alts that pump really hard and make people millionaires, but no alt is going to surpass Bitcoin's strength and solidity. No coin will get a bigger marketcap. In the long term people holding 21+ BTC will be rewarded by history with rich-tier status for seeing the value in it before most people did. Do not let the FUDsters trick your mind or the trolls try to derrail the excellent job being done by Core devs.

Let's continue then our path towards inevitable triumph.
Bitcoin have llots of compitition in online technologies but for me?When do I started?I will stay on it until it is working.period!

in my opinion, Bitcoin Technology has been tested for several years and this is the first of its kind so bitcoin has greater community and developer support. In the crypto world community support is the main reason for the success of coins because this increases market demand. Bitcoin has also gone through a number of difficult situations but has soaked all the pressure from time to time very effectively. I also feel the same way, no altcoin can dominate the crypto market like bitcoin.

There are many cryptocurrencies out there like bitcoin but I don't think that you can call it competition cause it's obviously clear that bitcoin is standing out among them. And many altcoins depends/based in bitcoin that's why bitcoin is like the Father among them  Grin

I don't think Bitcoin has no competition, because clearly it is competing with alt coins. However, it seems impossible to overtake Bitcoin throne. You know we all know Bitcoin is a main cryptocurrency with bigger capitalization over 40%. Usually, people need to buy Bitcoin before buying any alt coins. I call it "first door" as well as Ethereum.

True reason why bitcoin is on the top among other crypto is that it was the first crypto bird, it has short number of coins and it is the most pumped coin among others. I believe that there are coins, appeared after bitcoin, which have better technology and terms of use, but the problem of those coins is they appeared AFTER bitcoin  Roll Eyes

There is a fact that Bitcoin is not the only electronic currency. Bitcoin rivals have been emerging, serving quite well for those who feel they have "missed the train" as the Bitcoin bubble grows out of reach.Bitcoin is the main currency whereby all other crypto currencies are pegged to. There will be a long time in passing before other cryptocurrencies are ever unpegged from Bitcoin in order to be in direct competition with it and I doubt that will be happening any time soon, not for a while anyway.

I agree with that, even if world will issue som eother cryptocurrencies, which will be better, faster and have bigger marketcap than Bitcoin, I think it will still be the #1

Depends what you regard as a competitor.  Among cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin has no competition.  But Bitcoin has several functions, and some of these are taken up by other things (such as gold).

I does not think bitcoin does not have any competitor, is just that the competitors level is still not there to fight with btc yet. In the long run definitely there will be coins that can overtake btc.

Competition is a good thing, without better and better alt coin, bitcoin will not have technically evolve much. Now that a lot of altcoin are also aiming to be use as currency it push the developpement of bitcoin. Altcoin is a really large term that for some include all other coins except bitcoin... To that definition I can understand that a lot of ppl are sceptic on altcoin, I'm personally not a fan of ICO as for many its almost like flipping a dice.

Bitcoin has no competition because most exchanges provide crypto to crypto trading and fiat pairs are not easily available because many countries do not approve of this. So to buy any coin, you first have to buy Bitcoin. It is a necessity. As long as bitcoin dominates the market in such a way, there won't be any competition for it.

Yes you are right, even till now no one crypto currency can beat Bitcoin, they might move faster, but still can't beat Bitcoin. No one can't beat first crypto currency for now, dunno about in future.

for now I think that bitcoin seems to have quite a lot of competitors, because almost every week or month there must be new coin-coins popping up, even though it can't compete with bitcoin, but bitcoin has competitors.
