Any opinions on giving BTC an exemption from rebalancing?  This would mean if BTC keeps doing one of its classic massive growths where it goes higher than anyone expected, it might end up becoming 30% to 60% of the total value of the index

As it is right now, every month if the value of the BTC in the array has grown past 15% of the total value of the array, then BTC is sold and the other altcoins in the array are bought in order to lower the BTC % and raise the % of the altcoins.

Selling an upward trending BTC every month during rebalancing, in order to buy downward trending alts would not be a good way to make profit for people putting money into index array.

Do you think Bitcoin will continue upward trend and other altcoins in array will continue downward trend?  I guess that's the most important question when it comes to index fund weighting strategy. 

If people think BTC will continue to give better returns than the index, then they will just hold their BTC instead of putting it into the index.

I think BTC will rise some more and that alts with solid fundamentals will generally float up with BTC.

As for the weighting of the INCX index for BTC, would be tempting to increase on a bull run but i suspect the team will stick with the formula.  Of course they could be running a few models of BTC growth (and rapid decline) through some simulation and are having a red hot think about it.  

EDIT: reminds me that over 6k BTC was collected during the ICO.  I would have to look up what the price of BTC was during the ICO, to say the least it's gone up in value since.....

BTC is up 29% this month, and the index 8.8%

If people expect this trend to continue, then it makes sense to just hold BTC, and maybe put a little bit into index in order to diversify into altcoins.

I'm bullish on ICN too, so for me index array would be more attractive if it included ICN.  It fits all the criteria.

I don't know if team reads all the posts here, so you can post on reddit if you have any good thoughts about this.

yes its back. yesterday i wanted to get out and buy back when it hit below 25k but changed my mind because the rest had already dumped. so i just hold. seeing how it jump back to 30k in a single day is pretty interesting. none of the coins i've followed before has done this.

And yea, I'm holding ICN's for next 5 years!! Kudos and thanks for all the input guys.

I'll be buying small in next few days, I have a certain goal, would like to accomplish that.
I'm looking at a good price when I'll be back 5 years later on this very forum.

THis time yesterday we are closer to 40ksat than 30ksat, the sheep mentality among investors baffles me. Why invest in a project if you don't actually believe in the team. The decision to move the launch of the platform forward was explained clearly but some people think it is better to dump their tokens in response to the move. What I know is that they will be getting it only at higher price

The coin is too stronger be dumped by the greedy whale. I already buy it at 26k. and just hold it for the future. I glad to get this best moment for my investment. But the price was being stable at the rate of 30k satoshi. just there are some small volatility was buy and sell it.

The delay made the people so panic and got dumped so quickly so it was good move to take a dip on lower price. ICN will worth for hold in long term easily will add another 10x once the platform will get launched.
