I have a question, would appreciate if someone could give me a clear answer. If I have icn tokens do I also hold icnx tokens? Are they the same? If not what's the difference?

No, you don't also hold ICNX.

ICN is a share of the Iconomi platform. You receive dividends as a shareholder of this platform.

ICNX is a fund on the platform, which you can invest in. Think of ICNX as a basket of different stocks. Some might go up. Some might go down. But overall, we're expecting the total value of the 'basket' to increase, and give profit to ICNX investors.

In theory, this should drive the price of ICN upwards, so that early adopters will benefit due to scarcity of the token (people holding onto it, to receive dividends)

That means the next level of investors will be the ones buying the actual product (the ICNX, and other funds) provided by Iconomi.

These will be the "old economy" investors, looking to profit from crypto with a low risk.

They might also look deeper, and want to buy ICN and become a shareholder of Iconomi - who knows? ... If they do, the demand will only add more value to ICN.

So ICN is a share of the company. ICNX is the product given (what exactly does icnx do?) as is icnp. So it can be assumed that if the product is bought (icnx/icnp) then the company share goes up, correct?

Looks like ICONOMI will enter top 10 on Market Cap list this weekend. 

If that sell wall is broken, we may see a nice climb to 0.00100 this weekend.

I see this thread the most hot topic here but then neither ICN team has managed to live up the expectations nor they have been able to get listed on any exchange. I think this thread just gets bumped for some hopeful people lol

it looks like this but I believe they are working hard on the product . I also believe we will be impressed with finished product.

That is what all investors wish to believe, that the Dev are working hard. This thread has the most pumpers. It got so quiet on Dec 28th due to the delay, but it is coming back. What I want to see is action, and things happening. Not hope that the team is working hard, and that they can excuse themselves and cause more delays.


 

They´ve finished their crowdfunding campaig on Sep 29th (3 month ago) and collected money for the development! Now people are crying after 2 month that there is no finished product yet and yelling "Iconomi is fraud".

I don´t know what expectations some people have on what development is. They probably think it´s some kind of magic, where you press a button and *whup* - there is the finished, perfect product.

As some of the Iconomi guys posted on reddit (I think it was Jani), they are working pretty hard all day and their families are already missing them and honestly that´s what I believe is very true lol.

Just think about it that way: Each of the Iconomi members has a lot of ICN, but locked for a half year.

They need to deliver to get their huge profits which are worth the effort of building the platform!

With that said relax, take the delay as an opportunity and buy more ICN

If you have BTC and you plan long ruin with ICN then maybe wait a bit.
Or divide your investment into part like 5x20% and buy every week.
Trend in ICN is obvious uptrend so try catch in deep.
ICN price can hard  crash only on some fatal error with platform.
During BTC rise ICN holded strong ~30k sat so i don't belive in much more opportunity for you to get them lower
than 30k before platforms.

Holding onto ICN since the ICO and during this BTC push would of made you more profit then just holding BTC unless you had a leveraged long on BTC before it pushed up and got out before it dropped from the ATH. Keep holding onto your ICN, ignore BTC movements, if ICN were like other alts that drop during the BTC push it would of been sub 20k but BTC movement seems to have little effect on the ICN price movement.

BTC is for me long run hold.
ICN i treat more like effective ETH miner that won't go down with value soon.
If Iconomi will get Poloniex Coinbase scale it will be very interesting.
In UK they started 1st TC etf so such stuff will be legal in Europe.
While classic ETF are good ICN ETFs are more flexible no agreements 0-fines accessible 24/7 week
dividends paid directly. I see many advantage of ICN even with taxes because your profit is transferred directly into eth
and your will is to convert it to fiat or not.

In my bank account interest is charged with 20% income tax automatically everytime they pay profits.

But if Bitcoin goes up, Iconomi goes up as well! Price is stable and measured in Bitcoin

Edit: Price of ICN in btc even raised, so you would´ve been better during the Bitcoin pump with ICN

ICN soon will have $100M market-cap it's very solid in these days during pump and dump phase. Only strong believers will enjoy relaxed days when we get first release price will boost. So keep pushing don't dump at cheap prices.

I am not sure. Fees payments are operational costs.
