When I see facebook groups in our country I think there is a lot of bitcoin users here. But the problem is where to use it. We need to always change it to fiat first before we can use it widely.

I don't know if it's already that popular in my country but most of my friends uses bitcoin because of me. Lol. They use it to bet to our national basketball league. Also, I can say it's already quite popular because we already have our home-based wallet, integrated to banks and other online shops. We can also pay our bills using our wallet.

We have a lot of local pubs accepting Bitcoin and some fast food merchants. They even have some parking attendants accepting Bitcoin now. I use my bitcoins online, so the local merchants do not get the majority of my bitcoins. I have travelled some countries and I have picked up on the very same thing. Certain areas have a high concentration of merchants in a small area and I think this has something to do with one merchant accepting it, and then people around it, cashing in on the opportunity to make more sales. that is really great new from your place is that big city or small town ?

Talking about my country: Nepal, it is very hard to find next guy who is also doing crypto trading or hold bitcoin. However lots of new people are getting interested in bitcoin actually to use as payment processor as well as to store wealth to grab opportunity when price pumps. I am also trying to make a bitcoin community and also looking how i can make other able to easily buy/sell bitcoin but foreign currency rule here is very strict and confusing.
That really good new if you can organize a community or event for bitcoiner in Nepal i hope a change to hear good new from you and maybe we can co-operate that

Bitcoin is not that popular in India and there are very few sites/apps like Zebpay, Unocoin and few more exchange websites that trade or deal in bitcoins. I don't think it would be as popular as bitcoins in China or US but it certainly is getting recognized by many portals. Still there are some websites not ready to accept bitcoins due to its legality but fortunately its use is not condemned.

Why would some state condemned the use of bitcoin is a real mystery to me ? I can understand that in N. Korea or Russia where the party decide for everyone there but I think India is a liberal country in this view as anyone there is free to try the new options provided to us by the technology. In fact it may help you people there change your way of life. If someone of you is high ranking member like Hero or even from Sr.Member and is in the signature campaign I am in you can live easily for the month with such payments. I see you are in such high paying campaign and I think your life is only better from it or not. You see you are now an example of why bitcoin should only be stimulated and not stopped with obstacles.

I'd say that in my country: Philippines the majority of the population still has no idea what bitcoin is. I can even say that most has probably never even heard of it. With a population of 98million, those who knows and uses it doesn't even amount to 100,000. Still, it's growing though the sphere of influence is mostly focused to those who use the internet regularly, but with the popularity of the internet continuously increasing, it will probably affect the way bitcoin is viewed, though probably not until use of bitcoin is known and established worldwide. Even the possibility of meeting someone who uses and knows bitcoin is minuscule,so far I only met one and that was while I was having some bitcoin flyers printed (he wasn't an active user)
It's not too bad though since there are now some utility companies who accepts it so we can at least use it to pay bills. (electricity, internet, water)
- What they normally do with bitcoin in your country ? Mostly for deposits, selling it into fiat, prepaid load and utility bills.
- Do you think your country will replace US for number of bitcoin users in near future ? Unlikely. Improbable.
* How about @OP? How's it going in your country?

I live in Lithuania and bitcoin is not popular there. Mostly heard about it, but only some young people good know about it. Others opinion about bitcoin is negative - they think that bitcoin users are terrorists and drug dealers. And our central bank is against bitcoin. But bitcoin have big potential in my country. We have some bitcoin startups, which already become popular worldwide. Some restaraunts and small shops accepting bitcoin, also I heard that's possible to pay for taxi in bitcoin.

Bitcoin popularity is okay here where I live. It's still more seen as some sort of investment tool, but on our popular marketplace site I see more and more people putting in the describtion box that they also accept the payment in Bitcoin. That's something that makes me really happy. It means that the interest in Bitcoin as currency is picking up. It's slowly, but it's definitely a start.
