Bitcoin is not popular in my country infact people in my country do not have any idea about it and if we think about here's currency then till now its impossible here
Everyone keeps on saying that bitcoin is getting popular day by day, but looking at this thread I think reality is something different and if this is the case then its not a good sign. Well I think it depends on the country you live in, there are some countries prohibit bitcoin and the government does not allow people to use bitcoin so in those countries, it seems to be that bitcoin will not have any place, but to most of the developed countries they promote bitcoin so bitcoin is something very usual and familiar to the people of those countries. The people in this thread are talking about the users they know are using bitcoins but they don't know if how many are using it in their countries, because bitcoin is not yet physical and everyone uses them on internet so even if you neighbor is using bitcoin you wont know about it until he tells you about it or you see a sign of it sometime.

I do not know this is accurate or not. but I was quite surprised by the number of users is quite a lot, actually not too much if the count of the population. but not so bad, I hope bitcoin continue to grow in my country.

It's somewhat known, between the people who are in IT and guys between ages from 18-30. Many people have heard of them but don't care that much. In Serbia, bitcain has yet to gets its impact.
Same is the scenario in my country, only youth is aware about it but very few are into it and rest are not at all interested in knowing it or using it.

in our area still there is not a single department who have accepted bitcoin, therefore bitcoin need some more effort to become popular, but it is also a fact that the number of bitcoin users is increasing day by day.

Yes the users are increasing but not with a great pace, but I hope that things will change in future and the adoption will take place faster which will contribute to higher price of bitcoins.

And in some countries they have kept themselves away from bitcoins neither they cal it illegal while not at all they say its legal too so I think though bitcoins are not illegal and neither legal still there are enormous users from my country and yes we people share a lot too ( at least me ).

Bitcoin is familiar in most of the countries but how many actual users are using bitcoins, and I am sure that its not as per the expectation level and very few of them are using it. Currently the actual members are limited but with the passage of time the number of its users will increase, currently most of the people know this currency as a currency for trade and gambling as there are more sites of these promoting their product , only a few sites (shopping sites) which are accepting bitcoin and they are hidden and are not advertising their products, whenever people know about that concept they will adopt it more faster.

Still its a strange matter. People makes strange faces when they hear of bitcoin. It would take another 5 to 10 years to make bitcoin a common matter for all and I hope all will definitely like this coin because of opportunity to earn money free like from faucet, mining and bitcointalk.

- What they normaly do with bitcoin in your country ?
The trading volumes are increasing in my Country for Bitcoins. People can only trade in Bitcoins and hold it just like people hold gold. We can't use Bitcoin as a payment method yet cause there's almost no store accepting Bitcoins cause of the awareness factor. Even if people are aware, they're probably playing a safer bet by not accepting Bitcoins cause of the price volatility. Mine's a developing nation and we take losses seriously.
- Do you think your country will replace US for number of bitcoin users in near future ? The term 'Future' depends on how far from today. If it's a year down the lane, I'd say no. If it's 5 years down the lane, I'm expecting more people to be aware of it and trading to increase by a large percentage, probably few large merchants may start accepting it, and probably I may be able to pay my phone and electricity bills online with it. 10 years down the lane we might be able to buy houses and properties with it. Replacing US would still depend cause by this time US adoption might increase even further and probably there could be another ruling crypto in the market?

If we see in depth then I think apart from major countries like USA, INDIA and a few others the users on this forum are very less. The challenge for bitcoins is right this, to get more and more users who live in different countries while we users actually cannot do this some sites can by offering discounts to specific countries on buying products with bitcoins.

Then its a sign that bitcoin isnt popular in your country and you do have the advantage compare to them since you are already earning while they arent. In my country bitcoin isnt popular at all but there are lots of users already but i dont know which one and i havent met up them since.

For many people in my country, Bitcoin is still a strange word. However, things are slowly changing, and not only Bitcoin, but other cryptocurrencies are getting more popular here.
Well thats the beginning where people will start learning about bitcoin if bitcoin for them is strange but if people learn about what bitcoin probably they going to be interested on this currency soon and they going to use it to grow their money and bitcoin will more become famous so that supermarkets will be going to work out to accept bitcoin too
