I have many exchanges and active traders in my country who buys bitcoin from us and transfers fiat to our bank account so looking at that volume I feel that bitcoin is popular in my country.
is supported by the population as well. perhaps it would be fair because each country has a population that is different.
the majority in my country about 20% have started to recognize bitcoin. and only 2% were using bitcoin in their daily lives.

I think its impossible to determine the actual people using bitcoins as there is no track record of users and the fact is even our neighbor would be using it but we are not aware about it.
I see all of that from some large communities in my country. we collect it from an online survey. I also see it from the knowledge of my friends. I took a sample to be used as a benchmark.

In my country people are not aware about bitcoins yet as its totally new concept for them and they are not even tech friendly so even if I try to explain them they find it very complicated.

It will depend on population of country and the percentage of people aware about the bitcoins, if people are tech friendly and believe in innovative technology then they will surely start using it.
I know some people that are extremely tech savvy and they don't even understand Bitcoin. It really comes down to the passion that people have for learning new things. You can't force someone to do something they don't want to.

Bitcoin isn't too popular here in Australia. The only person i've seen accepting bitcoin was some kid busking on the street. He was no more than 15 years old.

If you explain them the basic things of Bitcoin in very easy to understand language, then people with surely start to understand it. What aspects did you try to make them understand?

Not very much, there are some people that are investing into it, building mining rigs, owning forums and websites but bitcoin isn't implemented in the economy here at all. Hope that will change in the near future.

Need some spare btc for a new PC that can at least run Adobe Dreamweaver.

Yes, in my country is also very difficult to find a place to use bitcoin payments. It is rare in fact almost everyone in my country do not know bitcoin. Maybe if no one adopts bitcoin as a payment will be few who use it.

Why do they have bad feeling about it? Have they lost their coins in the past by investing in any ponzi and getting scammed? Or else there is no reason for them to have a bad feeling about it.

In my country people are not aware about bitcoins yet as its totally new concept for them and they are not even tech friendly so even if I try to explain them they find it very complicated.
In my country also there is a similar situation that not many people are aware about bitcoin not even hear about bitcoins ever so they are far behind right now.So bitcoin has a long long way to go and achieve more success in order to be popular in my country and also all over the world.

Honestly i am not sure if how bitcoin is popular in my country but the promotion about bitcoin here is fast and growing almost any local forum here in my country are talking about bitcoin.. so i think we are many using bitcoin and its popular here in my country but we are just few users here..
the most important is the promotion process and introduces bitcoin quickly. it can attract new users so that they are interested in using bitcoin.
it is always important the promotion of bitcoin to attract to people who gonna use it and there to have new investors and if they going to exchange there money to bitcoin and try this currencies maybe there are going to show some interest in trading too here in my country it almost popular where estimate that we have 12 thousand users

Bitcoin will gain more popularity in future only if more people starts recognizing its potential and the benefits attached with and if its not done then I doubt that they would be interested in it.
