Here in my opinion we should have both type of coins for the speed profit .
According to me buy the Bitcoin and invest the Bitcoin amount in the most stable and powerful altcoin like ETH , DASH , Montero , ripple , dgb etc and then left it with patience to wait to increase , probably most of the famouse altcoins get faster stability with constantly increasing price .
So in this way we can make our profit double , earning from altcoin investment of the Bitcoin and earning from the increase in the rate of the Bitcoin also .
While investment is small risky , but I think if you will do everything with patience then you will never got any loss in this field .

Yesterday I tried to use it as a value transfer vehicle to move my funds from one exchange to another, and I had to pay 1 dollar in fees (well, three fourths of that were outright stolen by the exchange but still). When I received the amount transferred to my Bitfinex account (I was moving coins there), I tried to sell the coins (looking for a small arbitrage) and it was a disaster, mildly speaking. Ultimately, I was lucky to sell them and even book some minor profits (covering the fees with a bonus added), but it became as clear as day to me that Dash is just another shit coin that got hyped somehow. And what d'ye think, it lost one fourth of its value within 24 hours
