HAIRCUTS FREE HAIRCUTS! 43.1986% LTC was lost in the January 2019 event. 14.0489% BTC was lost in the January 2019 event.

BTC and LTC lost too? i thought only ETH and some tokens. of course the "scam hack" will not be complete without the most valuable crypto-> BTC and a sprinkle of LTC on top

They have enough fund from "listing Fees" to refund users lost fund.

I would like people to think about this carefully, since all eyes on cryptopia now...
let us call this a SCAM HACK for the meantime while we may come up with a better word for this in the future.
SCAM HACK can be done in three ways
1.) exit scam...runaway like cryptsy's big vern
2.) sell high SCAM HACK..remember nicehash? hack occurred december 2017 BTC peak price. -> ever wondered that they decided to sell your BTC's at peak price and let you mine there for the "reimbursement plan" for months/years? pricks didn't even buy low and refund users with BTC, instead they let you grind and sweat to mine those BTC's back, users lost time, profit and effort hehe
3.) buy low SCAM HACK..cryptopia, hack occured january 2019 a potential bottom price of BTC..will pay users in "fiat value" in january 2019 price -> is cryptopia pulling this kind of shit?...it kind of reeks here
why SCAM HACK people when business is good? (for items number 2 and 3) ....GREED, business is not enough, they want more and they think they can get away with this SCAM HACK since they are "paying back" users...and they get to keep the business and keep profiting, wise ass pricks.

They have enough fund from "listing Fees" to refund users lost fund. Seems like their official letter about the stolen coins is finally being sent to users. They'll update users' accounts with "withdraws" that represent the amounts stolen and then "deposits" of something they call "Cryptopia Loss Marker(CLM)". How this CLM will be used is unclear to me. https://support.cryptopia.co.nz/csm?id=kb_article&sys_id=48613b3cdb50338032a664a14a9619ba

Could it be that 1 CLM = 1$? Well I guess it will depend if the overall coin prices go higher or lower. I don't remember many hack cases and how were they handled, but I think I know how it goes... Whenever there's a hack on the top of the prices, the companies refund their users in cryptocoins. Whenever there's a hack on the bottom of the prices, the companies refund their users in fiat based on the date of the hack. I don't expect Cryptopia's case to be different.

From what we are seeing they are handling and updating the situation very good

WARNING: Fake Twitter Account that impersonates Cryptopia( I know there has been a lot of warnings about this, but this account can really fool some of Cryptopia users.) Uses same Name, Profile Picture, Banner (it's not in good quality). The only difference in username is that it uses 2 underscores and an extra i which might be missed at first glance. @Cryptiopia__NZ https://twitter.com/Cryptiopia__NZ It also retweets the tweets from the Official twitter account of Cryptopia: And actively replying to Cryptopia users who are replying on Official Cryptopia Account tweets: I've reported the account on Twitter (selected "They’re pretending to be me or someone else" as issue). If you still see the account, please report it too and provide the Official username of Cryptopia. Thanks! Edit: just saw that it was mentioned here as well, I wonder why the account has not been taken down by Twitter until now. Please report.
Update --> And we've won:

LTC and BTC now removed from my "virtual" balance. And now I get eventually refunded in market prices from Jan14 - how overly generous! From https://cryptonews.com/news/hacked-cryptopia-plans-compensation-scheme-3540.htm: In February, the company said that "worst case 9.4% of our total holdings was stolen." The exchange further said that “CLM is not a coin,” and that it cannot be traded yet. However, it supposedly represents the user’s loss in New Zealand dollar at the time of the hacking. The haircut I currently see in my balance is ~21% (not amounting that i.e. LTC price doubled meantime, so I lost rather some >40%). I expected not to get back anything from Cryptopia and so far, they really haven't disappointed me wrt this. I don't know, but maybe we can at least expect a detailed and complete postmortem analysis on what happened, but I guess the guys are currently busy with cutting hairs of mio of customers...

I am telling you all here they are buying your coins low heheh....poloniex hack returned users in BTC slowly but surely bit by bit. CLM? = Cryptopia Loser Money because that's how they look upon you users "losers" and guess what, they'll let you trade that shit on their shitty platform haha, do you even know how many they can/will issue? is there a publicly verifiable blockchain to it?...it is simply called bending over a little bit lower so they can stick that cryptopia dick in you faster and deeper haha it is a BUY LOW SELF-HACK SCAM folks

FYI, my BTC balance went from 0.00039384 (screencapped a week ago) to 0.00033851, which is about -16% adjustment.
So it seems more than just Ether keys were stolen.

What we know so far: 14.0489% BTC was lost in the January 2019 event 100% ETH was lost in the January 2019 event. 43.1986% LTC was lost in the January 2019 event Every account that held these received a proportional reduction of balance. It's an "event"?! The same lack of taking responsibility as was displayed from the very beginning. And, of course, CLM is not a coin, it can't be traded as yet, it is just a number in the database that represents the loss for each coin for each user in $NZD at the time of the event. 1CLM = 1 $NZD. The value in fiat at the market low. But we did not have fiat funds. We had crypto. We should get crypto back. The funds were in Cryptopia custody, so Cryptopia is responsible for the loss. Not the users.

Those who will trade their new "token" CLM might be considered as they were accepted agreement with Cryptopia and their refund offer valuated in NZD.
Be careful about the possible consequences of using(trading) their "token" CLM.
43% loss on LTC amount, and around 40-50% loss at LTC price growth ... did you calculate the total LTC loss? Did you compare your calculation with the 'token" CLM offer value?
I didn't have NZD, and I also want coins and tokens I bought.
