Would a 2gb 750 mine faster than a 1gb 750?

RAM is only a bottleneck at higher N-factors. For Yacoin that is a definitive Yes.

Christian

How about vertcoin? It has an N factor of 11 (2048) I believe for couple more years.

When Cudaminer does this, attempting to mine afterwards results in a very very low hashrate (usually ~27KH/s on Scrypt). Is there anyway to resolve this without having to reboot the computer?

Any ideas?

Check you clock speeds after CudaMiner errors out. When I get errors out of CudaMiner, my GPU goes to "2D" clocks and gets locked there. Another way to get out of that mess is to launch Device Manager and then disable and re-enable the offending GPU.

Not memory limited yet, except on old (weak) GPUs with maybe 256 MB of video RAM. When you get in the range of 1MB per hash needed, you can start worrying about memory on modern GPUs with >= 1 GB of memory.

VertCoin is at 256kb per hash.

I added a second gt 780 to my pc now the temp is 82c while the fans are at 100% anyway to lower gpu usage? how many had there fans damaged due to long periods of there fans running at 100%
i downclock my gpu to 1020 core but still above 80c
You should worry about getting cool air into your rig, not lowering the GPU cores Smiley

this is how I do it. Fan blows, PSU sucks. Wink

Current GPU temps are 88-90 deg C mining AuroraCoin @1840 kHash/s
Room is at 29 deg C (Sauna?)

lol, yeah, that was confusing...and nice rig Christian.

Don't you cook your psu like that?

As for the cards, did you try placing the psu on the other end of the gpus?

the PSU should be actually designed to take in very warm air from inside a computer case.

the VGA connector end of the GPUs is HOT - like melting candle wax hot (I've tried). The front end is a bit cooler.

watercool, all i can say :p
42'C maximum temps

huge investment but if you have it, go wild
Just as a saying, £200's worth of radiators, throw in some tube, cheap fittings, pump, all less then £300
only issue is gpu blocks

but still a good investment if space is an issue, especially with an open rig

Regarding watercooling there is also the arctic cooler accelero hybrid which is less expensive (but take 3 slots and is currently sold out the reason I went for the usb riser...).

the one i posted should be good for atleast 4 gtx 780's running maxed out 24/7 :-)
it is expensive but even if you have to pay an extra £70 per gpu for a waterblock, the entire investment wouldn't be much more then the cost of the loss of a single gpu due to overheating

this system is what we want for gpu mining
http://www.razerzone.com/christine

forget pci bandwidths and risers. heat? what heat? ;-)
when that system comes out i will buy one, price is no issue!

how do they cool the gpus ? because right know I picture them melting in their little boxes...
But yes it looks pretty nice

their liquid mineral oil cooled, the same stuff they use to cool transformers
much higher end then a watercooler, and it cools everything. gpu, hdd's, psu, cpu
no fans, no radiator. the entire thing is metal so it is a giant passive radiator

you just change the socket parts for what you want and they work. thats cross gen cpus
and the psu is the reservoir and pump together, just plug in a module, the pci configures itself, sends power, sends cooling.

!00% plug and play
want to switch your gpu? unplug the old and plug in the new :-)

Hey guys, I'm running five 780's for mining scrypt, and only the launch config mentioned in the pic worked as I copied it from another guy. So we're talking 420kh/s by each, all OC'ed, where I know it should atleast be 550-600 kh/s.

Does anyone have any better launch config for the new Cuda miners?

Hey, just started mining Vertcoin on a new GTX780. It seems to work okay but the following error pops up every minute or so:

Code:
[<date/time>] GPU #0: GeForce GTX 780 result does not validate on CPU (i=<random>, s=1)!

This is with launch config T12x20, determined by auto-tune. What does this message mean, exactly? Does it indicate a hardware problem?

Yeah I keep getting that cudaError 30 as well.  Seems to be kind of random since I was able to mine for like 12hrs straight earlier.  I was just trying 32bit miner on someone else's suggestion and it's definitely a bit faster, but the errors still happen.  I haven't confirmed it yet but I seem to get them faster if my mem clocks are over +400, which is pretty weak on my evga ftw 750's.  I've got to restart and play with my bios settings some more I guess.  Not sure what else to try.

"...and bobs your uncle?" = "...and I'm good to go?" It's a North-West  coast American/Canadian thing?

Also, don't think ambient case temp and direct from three video cards heat are the the same thing. Don't pop a cap.

Think it's a Brit thing. Definitely not American :-)

Like the sound of it though...

New to this keep getting a "stratum authentication fail" tried on 3 different pools so I am not sure what I am doing incorrect, here is one .bat example:

cudaminer.exe -r 10 -R 30 -T 30 -H 1 -i 0 -m 1 -d 0 -l L32x8 --no-autotune -o stratum+tcp://stratum-east.hashfaster.com:3333 -u fior -p x

Where is the problem? I am also using dual 9800 GTX (I will upgrade here soon just want to get the learning curb out of the way a bit more) so if you see any other issue feel free.
