Also take a look at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=769239.0. It's a great tool for just general profit. If you want a specific coin, I can't help you, sorry.

Do you have nvidia inspector can you check at what pstate your gtx980 run (what brand is it ?)
if it runs at p2, the mem clock is probably below optimal value.

This is just a blind stab as I don't have any 900-series cards but have you tried -forcepstate:0,0 shortcuts with inspector?

I think I tried, but as soon as ccminer start, it goes to p2, ccminer definitely trigger this p2-state.
I will have a look into the management API to see if I can do something (however it is still possible to overclock in p2 but the max value for the mem clock is the standard one...

As I said before the brand is Palit, I'm related to the distributor. The model is this:
 http://palit.biz/palit/vgapro.php?id=2405
I'll try nvidia inspector later and will report the pstate.
I have also gtx970, but didn't run it yet..

EDIT: Ive checked the pstate, its P2...

interesting...
would be interesting to know if it is like that for all the 900 gpu's... people having 970/980 please report at which performance state your card is running.

I haven't had enough time testing it , but wit the current ccminer v7m7 , the results with the XCN are not so well. Its about 10MH/s but it should be twice better - my opinion...

twice would be a lot... knowing that a 780ti does only 14mh/s

You can get already a little more by overclocking the memclock of the p2-state to its maximum with nvidia inspector (which is 3500mhz and correspond to the nominal memclock value).

I will publish soon an update to use better launch parameter for the 980 (because for the moment, it just picks those of the 750ti), my 980s are doing around 12.5MH at the moment...

I had 2x970 SC cards, now I´m with two 980 cards overclocked, when running nvminer/ccminer both cards read 1500MHz at memory speed, is that the limitation in ccminer you are talking about, it limits the mem clock at 6GHz max. to the 900 series?

Other aplications use my OCed memory clock (8GHz instead of 6GHz in CCMiner).

Cheers

Get ready for Killer Blake(x11,x13,x15) etc.

Here are 5'tIs in action with standard clocks mining x11.
I have only optimized the first hash function of the 11 hash'es.

1. Hash rewritten in 100% assembly language and tweaked for the 750 TI
2. Removed latency and improved superscalar performance.
3. Removed stupid code

Note that the blake hash is probobly around 400% faster than ccminer 1.2.

Will keep the miner private for now.

My Gigabyte 970s say P2 as well.

I may have stumbled on a common thing though, these are all 3rd party tools.  Nvidia inspector, Precision X, and afterburner all said my cards were running at 73% utilization, but When I go into Geforce experience and click on led visualizer, and then GPU properties, it shows them at 98%, 78C, and 3000+rpm fans. I have them with a 750ti all crammed in my case, otherwise I'd run the fan curve differently.

(I don't use geforce experience and don't know where other system monitoring is if it's in there or another nvidia tool)

well done. You're hereby awarded the CUDA mining knighthood.

Did you make use of the new maxwell assembler that scottgray published on the nVidia forums, or did you use the PTX intermediate language?

does it mean x11 is 400% faster ? Or are you just running on blake privately ?
