?? don't understand, are you replying to my question...btw my problem is only occurring on one of my comps with 750ti, makes me think t is missing something that it requires to run cgminer??? Using windows 7 btw.

I got it thanks...and to anyone else with windows crash issue... https://www.dropbox.com/s/mbteys6opg4odlj/cgminer-3.7.7.bNeoscrypt.zip?dl=0

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

I tried mining FTC with the neo scrypt. The daily estimate was high for the hash, shares were accepted, but the actual reward was a pittance.

I see this as a possibility, theblocksfactory shows around 700 coin/day at 190kh...but any other calculator says around 70/day...why is their estimation 10x higher??

I've been running ccminer 1.0 for some time now on a quark based coin with a couple of GT640 (DDR5, CC3.5), CUDA 5.5, driver 331.38. It runs well but I'm wondering if I can expect any performance gains from ccminer 1.2 and the deps that go along with it?

Just test it, I know some versions are compiled for old card with compute 2.0.
Maybe a Bombadil version or others ?

I saw my name o_O
GT640 with DDR5 is compute 3.5 Wink https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-gpus
So any of the newest miners should work (except those only for 5.0 & 5.2 ofc Tongue ) No need for my old code ^^

CCminer 1.2 is also getting old ^^" There are newer forks out there running better code. Like the ones from tpruvot and djm34.
SP_ is currently very busy with trying to boost the code even more, but IIRC, it's only compute 5.0 and higher for now.

Yep, official ccminer 1.1 upwards at https://github.com/cbuchner1/ccminer/releases should be significantly faster. Apparently there are indeed two versions of GT 640 according to https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-gpus, with the DDR3 version being stuck with compute 2.1 (and can't run ccminer 1.1 or newer) and the DDR5 version is compute 3.5 so you just might be in luck and be able to run the latest versions. The official ccminer 1.2 should work fine for quark, you could also try djm's version from http://cudamining.co.uk/url/releases/member/2 (I think there are newer djm releases but the links might be buried somewhere in this thread).

Not sure if this is already posted on this board. (So my apologies) but this is a very interesting read and history of XMR mining...

I have 2x Palit GTX 970 delivered yesterday, not impressed so far, think they might be going for a return trip back up the river in a couple of weeks if nobody works any magic.

I am getting the following rates, per card, using driver 344.16, with +200gpu & +200mem

XCN 8mh
XMR 440h
X13 4.8mh
Scrypt Jane 6KH

Not tried BBR yet cause can't get 970's to work with Kopiemtu

System is drawing aprox 380w (not inc display) at wall, AMD quad core cpu so the 970's are using aprox 100w per card.

A month on and I love my 970GTX's, tempted to get more!

To update the nvidia driver is a pain in the as within linux. But I think jk_14 will make a update soon.
If you interested how to do it in kopiemtu, i'll could write a little how to.
cudaminerBBR gives 1760hashs per second on a 980 // -l64x256; compiled with compute.50.
that means nearly double hashrate in comparison to my 750ti.

System is drawing aprox 380w (not inc display) at wall, AMD quad core cpu so the 970's are using aprox 100w per card.

...which algo? the system draw depends extremly on the used algo.
short test with the EVGA 980 SC ACX 2.0 cards shows that they are not beating the 750ti in hash/watt ratio at the moment.
Now it depends on the optimization of our ccminer-dev guys... hooorayh for you all!

380w total including system mean more than 100w per card, unless your system without gpu consume 180w alone, also cpu should be at idle when you mine, i'm missing something?

I have never had my cup idle while using ccminer. Am I missing something on how to do that?

Now it is not at at 80% or anything but definitely not idle.

I get up to 60 % usage on my cpu with a low of 30%.
