EVGA 1300W ATX psu is a good choice with 110/120V voltage.

I appreciate the help Phil.....I've been trying to get away from cloudmining ala Genesis, but my buddy keeps trying to talk me out of this option.  I figure a 40TH contract with GM is about 5k after 3% discount, course the advantage is no upkeep, but the disadvantage is all the drama going on right now with them and the "hack".  As opposed to this, which for roughly the same price, get me 5 machines at around 5K for 36.5Th...and of course upkeep and power cost.....

Meh. With BTC up where it is I just ordered 1 more and yes the controller which is now $100. Nice part is:
a. Current price of BTC. We'll see what it is by the time Canaan sends the bill...
b. Is now FREE shipping so that knocks off a nice chunk of $

Do remember that if you are in the USA you better stay under $2,500 worth of miners ordered and delivered at 1 time unless you don't mind paying Duty.

Edit: Well waddayaknow -- Canaan has gotten better at doing the using-BTC part (so far). 1st, all orders are now manual so they (quickly) ask 'BTC or wire?' and even better my email reply was very quickly put into the Ticket system. Kudos for that.

Now to see how fast they give me the BTC amount and address to send to. Fingers crossed

That is the same HP server psu that includes in sidehack's kit.
Only 900W with 110/120V voltage..

So it's on hold now, how long before Canann gets back to you normally for payment?

In my experience, I ordered towards the end of NA day, rushed to my bank for the wire, came back to post my receipt to Canaan. Payment was confirmed in 24 hours, surprisingly fast.

I believe they send you an email either way but will say it will take between 5 to 12 days to get the miner.

I just purchased 4 Avalon 741's and two 2400 watt power suppplies from parallel miner.  I have just received shipping notification from Caanan and will post my opinion, once everything is up and running.

I've been waiting for them to reply with a BTC address for a few days now. With the current spike in BTC price I don't mind the extra wait, just hope they don't run out of stock by the time they get around to sending me the payment address.

Also looking for cheapest available PSU for 741

Will test 3 different setups soon:

Bitmain APW3++ (expensive and not available in stock, I will not buy them anymore)

G1029-1600W 120$ (chinese ebay stuff)

2x Zalman ZM700-LX 700W 130$  (Looks good, 2 year warranty. I think this is the way to go)

Also does 741 really need 1300W PSU ?
