I have question about temperature. I have a reading 44 / 100 (C) Whats stands for 44 degrees and whats stands for 100 degrees?

44C is the inflow temperature
100C is the outflow temperature

Are you sure? Might be 44C PCB temp and 100C chip?

the 44 is the internal daughter controller board in the miner

the 100 c is the asic chip

and 44c is hot for the internal board

Working on cooling right now. Temperature in the garage +36 C.

+ 36 c = 96.8 f

I replied as soon as I received the ticket that stated:

If you are still interested in buying we will give you a BTC price and wallet address shortly.

Please respond  Yes, if you want us to hold your order and give you a wallet address as new product comes in

My reply of "Yes" was over 24 hours ago and I have not received a response with the price + wallet address, and so once again I'm thinking "crap, it nearing the end of the work day in Beijing and it's Friday..."
It would have been nice to simply get this notice along with a BTC address if you are taking pre-orders, that way I could have simply made a payment (which is what I have been waiting on doing) or said no thanks. Now I'm waiting on all other open tickets to be addressed, getting someone to read my "Yes" reply, generating a BTC address and finally responding back to me. It just seems like there are a lot of unnecessary steps here. Nonetheless, I really do appreciate your effort and post here about what's going on.

why would they build a 761 vs  a 741?

better chip?  As  I see it a better 761  could finally allow them to compete with the s-9 

1000 x 1000 = 1 million dollars  but  only 220 btc .

 I would think we could raise  220 btc  if the gear was better then the s-9  I know we could raise that amount of coin

Buysolar and I could go for 4 btc of it easy  leaves us 216 btc to go.

The bitch in my case is that Canaan was going to put a replacement fan for one of my A721 miners in with this order... Since still no word about *my* order that rather screws the pooch about the badly needed fan.

Yesterday I annotated the support Ticket about the dead fan to reflect this, again no reply yet..

   A new shipment of 741 is headed to HK.
   First we will ship the back order.
   
   761 is  not an announced product.  One of the hazards of being open source is guys get to see what we are working
   on.
 
   I hope I can make it a new product,  but I have a lot questions I need to drill down into.

   Obviously since folks here found the code  it would be silly to say we are not working on something,
   but I also don't want to get folks planning on something that is still in engineering.

  it is saturday in Beijing. 

  There are hundreds of orders waiting for a BTC address.  Some people will just bail. So we sent a note

  Are you still interested? if you answered yes, we will give you an address.  In our accounting every order
  gets a unqiue address.

  Once I am CERTAIN the stock has landed in HK  we will start givving addresses  out.

  Because  if I gave you an address and amount today  and the price of BTC changed in our favor,  some guys  just
  cancel the order  or wait to do the transaction.

  So, when I am certain the stock has landed we will give out the addresses  and a BTC rate  ( we use xe.com).

  those quotes are good for 48 hours.

Logistically impossible.

   1. Many  (most )  people  who have also asked to pay by bitcoin also have multiple questions in there ticket.
       like  "can i have the address, and oh can you add two units to my order"  or
           i bought before can I get a discount? or  do you ship to france?  or  will there be an import tax..
        A minority  of people  just ask for the address.
   2. With the delay some guys just bailed. So we need to ask,  are you still interested?  Then we can Focus on the guys
        who still want it.

   3.  If  we give you a wallet and price today  and you pay, and the product doesnt ship until august 23rd, there are some
        guys  who want to re preice depending on how BTC moves.  I cant count the number of times  guys have cancelled orders
         only to re order in a couple days  when the price moves.

   So.  First I need to let the the hundredss of people waiting that we would be getting to our backlog. That had to be a quick autoreponse. Its literally me going through hundreds of tickets, reading each one and responding.  Took a whole day.

Next, We are waiting for the stock to actually LAND and be moved to the fullfillment house. the last thing I wanted was to give you an address, take your BTC  and then discover that there was  delay. So I want 100 percent confirmation that the stock
is there before i give out an address and take anyones BTC. I wont take your money until I am certain there is product actually
landed.

Avalons do not come with PSU.
You will need a small 5V one for the Pi and big momma 12V for powering the miner....
Beyond that the 12v PSU's will all have IEC computer power sockets so you have to supply the cord.

I built a backup rasp pi  as buy solar and I will be expanding

We plan  to get at least 5 more of these 741's.

At the moment we have 3 721's 1 741  and of course the backorder for this 741  that is 5 .  if you add 5 more 741's we will be at 10 avalon's I do not run more then 3 to a rasp pi.

I will do  a clean clear setup thread  Once I get this order sent to me.

Philip - I Thought you can have like 20 miners (741's) on one controller?

Right now I am running 3 on my controller and I am planning on purchasing 3 more, do you recommend  getting another controller for the next 3?
