realized my rant got off topic from op intent , I took my rant elsewhere lol
Actually I pretty much agree with you. but the asics builders want to move gear out as they fear btc price drops. So they offer to a guy that wants 50-60 pieces. and that guy may use 40 to mine with and sell 20 at jacked prices on ebay. This always happens when coins have a price runup. It is annoying as I just buy gear slow but sure with zero regard to coin price. I was buying 721's when coin price was at 875 in dec I was buying 721's when coin price was at 919 in jan I was buying 741's when coin price was at 2500 in jul I was buying 741's when coin price was at 3400 in aug 6 I ordered a 741 on the 31st when coin price topped out at 4950 and I will order one in sept even with coin prices dropped to 4650 but deal is 775 each for 60 pack. 43000 + 2000 + 1500 = 46500 as usa will charge at least 1500 in custom fees and shipping to usa is at least 2000 I would offer to organize a group buy but I am still waiting on my own august 6th and august 31st buys. I would join you on a group buy if you would lead it. If you do plan one put me in for 2, Thanks. I'd probably be up for a group buy in the future, but I'll let these first three come in and learn on them a bit first before I invest any more. |

The last few pages have order numbers of a few people that have not received the payment info yet either. What is yours? Mine is #89619 and I have not received the payment information yet. Can only be patient and wait... or pay 4-5x what we should on ebay/amazon. |

I would run a group buy I have done them last feb 2016 but they were out of san fran- usa not hong kong -china 60 for 43000 + 2000 + 1500 = 46500 this is 775. I am in NJ ,USA reship would be 25 to 50 in usa maybe 125 to europe so 800-825 in the USA 900 in europe I can build rasp pi's for 65 so do the math 825 usa no rasp pi 900 europe no rasp pi 890 with a rasp pi usa 965 with a rasp pi europe those are break even numbers > I am not a greedy pig and would not mark up like ebay but I would want to earn some money as it is a lot of work. we also run into btc price up price down issues. I certainly won't be doing it until Sept 12th or later. I may write a thread in group buy section on tues the 5th once my aug 6 unit comes in. |

I could see the group buy being worth while if 2-5 people came together to make the purchase quickly. Otherwise, like philipma said, with fluctuating btc prices it and not a huge price break, it would be a crapshoot.

I'll look into it. I'm not that new to mining, just when it comes to the Avalons. I currently have 1 S9 hooked up with 2 more on the way. I also have 13 D3's coming in as well. I'm trying to diversify. I tried getting a couple of L3+ out of the last batch but the site was way more overwhelmed and I was able to get 2 in my cart, but they sold out before I could checkout. I have a shop setup to house them and have the wiring and everything setup. I upgraded my transformer to cover up to 50 miners. I plan on trying to get a small farm going. Gotta start somewhere.

I definitely agree with you there lol. You thinking the price will go back up over 5,000? I'm betting that it will shoot back up to 4700 by the end of tomorrow for sure. |

The fact that it tanked from $5000 to $4400 in a very short time, but is already teetering around $4500-$4600 has me optimistic. On the other hand, that may not have been a real adjustment; just the crowd saying "I'll sell once it hits $5000." Volatile market... What is particularly interesting about the next 12 hours, though? |
