A provably fair lottery sounds like a good idea. If they bring back investing in the casino bankroll maybe there could be an option to have a percentage of dividends paid in lottery tickets.

We have been discussing where to go with YOLOdice next, and I want your opinion about it. I have no plans to convert YD into a "game hub", but one or two extra games to kill time would be fun. And we want your feedback before starting coding!
1. Lottery - a PvP lottery has been on our radar for quite a long time now. The idea would be pretty simple - the more tickets you buy, the higher your chance to win the pool. The prize pool grows when more tickets are being sold. Not sure yet how long the rounds would be. Maybe 12h, maybe shorter, maybe a week, maybe random, maybe a few rounds at the same time. The main prize would get the most of the pool, maybe the second prize would get a small reward too.
2. Any other game - there are number of games out there. Do you think we could implement any? Keno, growing multiplier games, slots... There are many, but how fun are they really?
3. An original game - we have a few ideas for quite original games not found anywhere else that work in "provably fair" paradigm, have instant rewards, requires decisions when playing and could be fun. It's still an idea that would take same time but... could happen.
What do you think? What would YOU like to play at YOLOdice?
Cheers, Ethen
3. Another idea for an original game - Battleship!

3. Another idea for an original game - Battleship! I'm glad this has been brought up and my vote has to go to originality. There is nothing more entertaining than bringing out a completely brand new game, of course, if this is done right you're popularity could sky jump instantly. Everyone nowadays is trying to be original but if this can be pulled off that would be amazing - I know you guys can

This is a solid idea. I would personally like to see a game that has a relatively long play session, but also has a chance of winning big. Battleship could definitely be one of these games, and it seems pretty simple to code. Maybe set it to a win multiplier that changes the difficulty of the game, and also set a higher minimum bet amount to account for the longer play session.

I never played in yolo before but few minutes ago just tried there hi-lo with very very low amount (0.00000010btc each LOL) just to taste the water. Felt a bit addictive but good thing that I was able to log out. I will be checking other games soon. For a sports better it's a totally different experience.

So it seems the opinions about adding more games are pretty much split... One thing for sure - I am now certain that adding any game apart from just pure dice is what we need. It has to be fun, and I am leaning towards something social that would bring interaction (healthy competition) between users.
Last few days I've been traveling and connecting to YOLOdice from various places. I found out that unfortunately some WiFi networks only allow connections to port 80 and 443 (HTTP and HTTPS ports). This sucks, because we run our WebSockets endpoint on ports 8080 and 8081.
So I have opened a new WebSocket endpoint on the 443 port and it's now the default port the web client will connect to. Old ports will be available for some time too, so no worries.
If you're just a player, nothing changes, maybe except the fact that your connection could be more reliable if you're using any bizzare Internet Providers.
Tell me if you see any difference!
Cheers, Ethan

I guess adding more games is thorn between two ideas because people who want new games do not care about what type of all that much as long as there is new games since they are tired of the same old games, but the people who are not certain about adding new games is the people who do not know which game you are talking about when adding a new one.
If you were to ask a question about a certain game and if it should be added, that could have had different answers. I suggest making some sort of poll on the website about which new games should there be and the one with most votes should get added.

I suppose what it is you are trying to say is that when asking the community if new games should be added the best is to actually give details about the options rather than leaving it as a leading/open statement, yes I do want new games because blablahh or no it's not a good idea to add new games because of this and that?

Thank you for the updates ethan and yes,,, connecting to the site for some players like me will always be a bit slower because of the funny connections we use. Like me I believe my office (which is my main route for internet) is using several types of VPNs because it is a foreign office that does not trust the location I guess!
And Battleship sounds like an awesome idea. PvP and can even make it 3 or 4 p!

YOLOdice has unexpected downtime. I've been doing routine database maintenance and something went wrong on archived dataset. No worries, all data is safe, I am waiting for a single job on the database to finish to avoid any data corruption.
I'll keep you informed!

Ok this is assuring. I was just trying to login and from 10 to 15 minutes it was just loading (connecting). I was thinking something wrong with my connection lol.

Everything is all right in terms of coins and data, it's just the database job that apparently blocked everything. I keep figuring out how to bring everything back online ASAP.

Everything is back online now, sorry about the downtime - this has never happened to us before.
I'll need to run some more maintenance, but thankfully everything is fine.
Cheers and good luck! Ethan
