Sorry if this has already been asked, how will YOLODice be handling the UASF on August 1st? Should there be a bitcoin split, would investors on YOLODice be given both 'bitcoins'?

Regarding the UASF - we are not signalling UASF and I am hoping the situation will resolve itself by 1st August so that UASF would no longer be required. Whatever happens, Segwit2x or UASAF, we'll do everything to protect the coins we are holding.

Anyway, rest assured we follow the developments closely and we will be prepared to handle whatever is going to happen.

Cheers,
Ethan

You never answered my question.

So should there be a bitcoin split, will people with balances on the site be given both 'bitcoins'? Or should I divest before the date just to be safe?

taking a break - expect delayed responses

Good question, well this should be asked on every site (casino, exchange, banks, whatever) that holds bitcoins for their clients/customers.

I do hope they give every coin possible in case there would be a split. If not, then expect people to pull out a lot of investments in a lot of places.

OK, my direct answer is: yes, if there is a split that leads to a stable Bitcoin fork, we will give you your forked-Bitcoins back. At this point however I am not sure how technically we would do this, but my intention is definitely not to keep the coins for ourselves.

I hope it answers your question now. Now let's hope there is no fork :-)

Tried YOLOdice just a while ago,

I was surprised with the speed of rolls in autobet even for low bet amounts. Is the speed the same for all bet amounts or do bigger amounts have better speed?

AFAIK, we will have a better speed if we play with 100 satoshi or more. And for the smaller amounts, there will be a little delay.

It's really a cool site. I love the manual bet section which gives us lot of options. Just one thing is missing from it that I feel is the Altcoin. Do you have any plan to introduce any altcoin here?

I am working on adding LTC right now. I cannot give you any specific timeline, but the work is going pretty fast.

Been waiting for atleast one other alt coin to use especially with all the up in the air of what is happening to btc from now until the 1st of the next month.
Even heard that a competing dice site is freezing withdraws from their player user accounts until all this business with the blockchain splitting is over and done with.
It rhymes with Locket. Wink

So implementing one soon is in all your users best interest at this moment for no hesitation from your users.

Thanks again Ethan_nx! Grin

Our newest Wagering Competiton just went live!  15 prizes to win!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2018676.0
Almost forgot there was a betting competition going on.
Thanks for the reminder because the prize amounts are bigger than what I remember them ever being.

This bodes well for how the site has been progressing over the last few must of been very successful. Grin

Actually using LTC won't solve any issues here, because its value closely follows Bitcoin, so If you were looking for a more stable coin it will be hard at the moment.
I strongly support adding LTC though, because it's much faster and cheaper to send.

You mean it was.
The price of bitcoin has dropped by 12% in the past 48 hours. While the price of litecoin has not dropped at all.
Mind you I said price and not value since that amount is relative to the value of bitcoin to USD and what I am saying is the value of litecoin to USD.
I still see it as $41 per litecoin as of this writing and it has not changed for me at all from the charts that I follow over this same 48 hour period in which I saw the price of bitcoin fall so much.
Sorry if I am wrong in your view but it shows up on my charts this way.

That's the reason why I am surprised that none of these gambling sites offer USDT. It will be linked to the fiat US dollar and then we don't have to worry about these issues where the Cryptocurrencies are crashing. Imagine buying BTC at $3000 last month and now having it be worth $2000.

Since there is no USDT tether then BTC seems to be the most stable out of most alts. Look how unstable ETH has been lately.

Today's Yolodice experience.

Logged in and was surprised to see 0.00015ish btc in my account and already level 4 but yesterday when I logged of I was only lvl 2. So I tried several martingale styles and was able to make my balance to 0.005+, and then I tried experimenting on the autobet tools. Did not realize the base bet doesn't go back to what you have placed initially. My fault. Though I enjoyed playing and will be playing and would recommend to friends to try playing at Yolodice too. Smiley

Best part is I have wagered 0.04+ without a deposit.

It has already, you just needed to wait long enough. I said it's following Bitcoin, so it needs time to react. Of course LTC is right now more stable, but if BTC keeps falling it will drag its favourite altcoin down. We are down from $50 on the 10th to $37 today.

This is how altcoin work as I know, because of its volatility that we might get some profit, through trading or even gambling. But by using USDT, it said that the price is equal tuh USD which is more stable than crypto so how are people going to get profit from this coin? I do not think any site will accept this coin to their site. Btw yolodice is a well developing site, I think they will aim for top 5 coin from coinmarketcap first instead of going for that USDT coin that not perfect yet

Agreed with you about UST. I do not believe adding tether is a good thing since it is not proven yet and adding of an alt coin is the right way to go for an online casino. Because tether is more like for hedge funds and for investment purposes. So maybe they can look into entrance of it towards their investment part of the site. Just not for the gambling part of the site because it could make it too messy to control with relative ease such as just adding an alt coin.
On this note`
When is litecoin going to be added to the site and it's functionality?
Will it be able to inter-exchange with bitcoin already on the site just as you can on other dice sites or not?

Still waiting patiently for this response on when it will be able for all to use.

Thanks Yolodice team! Grin

Hi,

LTC (and later maybe other coins) will be integrated in the site, as on other sites. We will not launch a separate site for another coin. I have an idea to allow users to trade coin pairs in a P2P style, but that will need some work.

I am not giving any specific timelines although the progress is going pretty well. But we'll need a lot of tests since a lot of code has been rewritten.

I will keep you informed!

Cheers,
Ethan

I think it would be good move to use tether, this coin have a good stability (USD linked), it's like a safe way to use something like this, since with majority of coins you could profit with the price flutuation or you can have big losses too, tether is different and it's good to have options like it.

Litecoin is a well stabilshed altcoin, so strong in these days, nice community supporting it, I strongly recommend it too, since 2011 and alive untill now, the positive side is that LTC have already activated its Segwit phase.
