To be precise, your coins need to gain age ("mature") before they can begin the staking process. They mature without the wallet open. Once matured however, your wallet needs to be open and be in staking process to participate in staking. Once some of your coins staked (ie. you got your staking reward), they loose their age and have to wait 15 days again. Note that not all coins may stake at once.

This is a good explanation on Bitconnectcoin staking the recommended number of coins is at least 100 Bitconnectcoin the more the better,you will mint new coin and while staking your coins the coin increase it's price in the market.

The important thing missing in that guide is that you do NOT have to keep the wallet open while your coins are gaining age/maturing (the 15 day period), coins age regardless of the wallet open or not.
You only have to keep the wallet open for staking once the coins are mature and are actually "staking".

yep I just had to go with my gut.  I've mined and staked this coin and happy with the profit I've made.  However, when someone stakes 30000 coins and 90% of mining is private I had to sell all my coins.  something didn't feel right at the time of the dump.  so I sold right after the massive dump and glad I did.  I kept just a small amount for staking.  but what's the point of staking when you have HUGE wallets doing the same. 

Wasn't it obvious? most of these retarded shills don't even know that the scammers can manipulate the system. Oh well i guess they're just happy to be greedy and just waiting for poor souls to be enticed in this scam.

For solo mining, the bitconnect.conf specifies what user and password does the wallet require (rpcuser, rpcpassword), and you have to specify that on the miner command line, so it can connect locally to your wallet.
So the rpcuser/rpcpassword can be anything (random chars for both), set it in bitconnect.conf and then specify the same on the command line.
