You make these statements without any explanations. $400 for bitconnect? They didn't stop because they were a 'collapsed ponzi' and would have had no problems carrying on. They hadn't even gone into their BCC reserves. Contrast that to DavorCoin which is currently still running with a coin value at 40cents (from a peak of near $200). Nobody is hardly making any more loans on the platform now. They are still servicing tens of millions of dollars worth of loans even at 40 cents per token. Their latest interest rate is still 0.33% (0.09% the day before) although those locking in their loans for longer would get up to a 0.2% bonus on those (not including the bonuses for larger loans). The problem with Davor is inflation and there are a lot more coins in circulation now than before so I expect them to buy the tokens back at some point.

You also ignored the fact that bitcoin is more of a Ponzi and very few can cash it all out at once for a decent price? These lending platforms don't promise returns, just variable interest and guaranteed capital. If bitconnect had decided to continue it would have worked as normal.

Still no. None of what you're saying makes any sense. If Bitconnect had "decided" to continue? Then why didn't they? Oh right... FUD!!! Such delicate snowflakes. Bad things were said on the internet and they folded. Was that specified in their "lending" contract? "We reserve the right to fuck off with your money if somebody says a bad word about us." I guess I should check my bank's T&Cs for that. Maybe my Bitcoin wallet too.

Bitconnect was a ponzi. It collapsed. No amount of this false equivalence garbage can change that.

BCC need to buy, same big falling apear only when supervisors disappear. No problems with it I don't see, a marketing policy makers first raised the rate for its own funds, and now just returned invested by lowering. The coin was in the TOP 10, it very good coin, the developers are not lost

You should use Google Translate instead, would sound far more convincing.

Some people are dreaming with open eyes that coin will make comeback with reality is totally different this game is over now. Someone was recommending to join this platform but I was lucky to watch the program of Clif High about the future of this coin almost 2 months when he warned about that kind of collapse.

to the dumbasses that bought this coin past two days when the verdict is already out on the coin. SMFH

Not looking good at $6.54 according to Coinmarketcap. Maybe this is the first coin in crypto history that in fact goes from billions to zero.

I watched Paycoin go from 100 million marketcap to 300k. Once it was branded a scam, it slowly died over about 6 months until people got bored of posting about it.

And that example relates pretty well to BCC. The hype and promises surrounding Paycoin were insane and it literally just died. Man quite some people lost a lot of money on that one and I assume it were a lot of newcomers. I am happy I didn't touch it back then (doesn't mean I didn't lose money on other scams Tongue )

Bitcoin has fallen for the same reasons. More sellers than buyers and bad publicity.

While that may be partly true, I believe the price of BTC has fallen for various other reasons as well.

  • The sheer number of ICO's that are coming out in rapid fire per day/week, people are investing in that rather than Hodling BTC
  • The people who bought in at the top have been selling at the first signs of a rise to try and get some money back (weak hands)
  • And the fact that Bitcoin was due for a correction and with so many ICO's and new coins flooding the market, especially ERC20 tokens more money is being spread around these coins.  And that is obvious by the BTC dominance which sits at around 35% but was recently as low as 32% for a few weeks when previously it usually sat around the 50%-ish mark.
So until more people come into Crypto and the market capitalization grows to around the 700M mark again we will see what we are seeing today.

Pathetically, Bitconnect which you still support, like any scamming coin also has scared away thousands of new investors or believers in Crypto, many of them had their first dabble at Crypto after friends and family, not just the Youtubers asked them to give it a go and showed them their potential ROI's, now those people have been burned, many will not come back.

That applies for any of the snake infested lending platforms, because even with good intentions, which many of them do not have, they still promise unrealistic returns and are not self sustainable or the people running them are criminals or a combination of the two.

I personally believe Bitconnect did not die because it was a Ponzi, I think it died because those running it, rather than just freezing further loans, not doing a dodgy ICO, making up false Ddos attacks and blaming Texas fud, actually could have kept running and paid people, but they chose instead to do a runner with Millions of dollars stolen from the general pulic.

So in summary to my rant, Fuck Bitconnect, Fuck any idiot that still supports it or thinks it will re-surface and long live BTC, looking forward to seeing it break 25k by the end of the year.   Cool

P.S The BTC FUD you posted about India is incorrect.

Did you see the video I linked to? The promoters weren't scared to have a conference on 28th January and there was some sort of signed agreement with people who argued with them there. They said they would sort something out within 10days so that date is coming soon.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-4skPP-8KM

Quote
"I made this video to share my experience going to Bitconnect conference on 28th January 2018. Because got so many questions on facebook, telegram, whatsapp, etc. I rushed this video quickly to inform how it went down.

The conference starts off with basic introduction regarding bitcoin, blockchain, mining, which I skipped because uncessary. Then when the Indonesian promotor Mr Yuris Prasetya starts his presentation, a member of the audience confronted him as you can see in the clip I have provided.

As it turns out the promotors have decided to answer and discuss all complaints and concerns (despite various threats). So the discussion moved to a private room full of upset investors (small to very large sums).

The promotors addressed that there will be attempts by the developer (which they claim have no control over) to compensate investors through their main program BCX (Bitconnect Exchange) and staking BCC. However this is deemed unnecessary by the investors because Bitconnect need to sort out and be fair regarding the capital release fiasco before moving on to further projects and events. No one will back their events and programs because the confidence is at all time low.

It is then agreed that Mr Santoso as the main Indonesian promotor will represent our dispute to become our voice. He is likely to cordinate with other global promotors and developers to come up with solid and concrete solution for investors. 10 days is the deadline.

Personally I am surprised Mr Santoso and his team are willing to go through all this. They booked the event beforehand, still go through with it despite BCC was doing horrible, and angry mobs will show up with threats. Because he understand what the investors are going through and wanted to communicate with all of them through this event. Half of the attendees were upset investors and the other half are BCC loyal and supporters.. probably 50-50. I don't think there are any newcomers to Bitconnect in this event.

I am in the private whatsapp group to keep everyone posted of the latest news from Mr Santoso. Lets all pray and hope there will be a better and more positive outcome from Bitconnect developers.

If you are here to post negative, mock and telling people to be suicidal, please go elsewhere because I post my videos for information to people who are in Bitconnect and those who are not in Bitconnect but can chill about the whole thing."

However, if it ever goes below $5, I'll buy back in.  Wink

what reason would you have to buy in under 5... a scam is a scam right?

Obviously, to minimize his lost, but enough of a lost so to deduct it on next year's taxes in offsetting his gains from ... wait for it ... Monetize Coin.

Thought it already shutdown. Why would you buy again? I mean it is too obvious that it is a scam.

BCC is doing better than other lending coins (even though the platform shut down). It's up again today 5% or so. The others are all well down.

Quite a few platforms have cancelled the lending now including MartCoin recently and EXCC previously. This is a new statement from Gold Reward:

There has been a lot of FUD in the lending and cryptospace in recent times, with virtually all Lending platforms taking a downturn. Even a perfect functioning platform cannot stand bad publicity spread by users on the social media platforms. Due to these challenges, The Gold Reward team is changing direction with focus on gamification and possible rebrand.

Still 5$ per BCC and 45 000 000 total cap on falling market. It is really impossible for coin which has confirmed as scam. I don't understand anything on the crypto market. Who is buy BtConnect?

BCC is below $5 now. you should buy now before the price goes up again. but don't expect to pump like the price of last month.
I'm still on pity to does who invest and loss.

Everything's a scam
Bitcoiners, especially bitcoin maximalists, have a habit of calling anything they find a little dubious, or that they simply don't like, a "scam."

It's a serious charge – fraud is a crime, after all, punishable with jail time – but on Twitter and in crypto forums it gets thrown around like high school kids in the locker room calling each other dorks and losers. Though, to be fair, the "S" word is sometimes used in a way that's unmistakably playful.

The GoldReward coins were 46cents in the ICO in the early rounds and I only bought 1500. Many people sold at more than 10X, including me (it actually reached higher than this and about $7 at peak but I sold after 10X as didn't want to be greedy and kept some for the lending)!!!  Why do people buy any other ICOs? They work on exactly the same principle.

So basically, even with my small purchase (it was easy to buy more in the ICO as it wasn't selling out so fast as they had a 500 a day limit), I still made about $5k in profits.

Monyx lending platform opened its exchange today and the price has doubled since the start when people were dumping and there were a few errors they fixed (40cents isn't bad in the current climate).
(the one that sold out incredibly in a few hours- over 9million tokens raising over 400BTC from 35K actual investors "Notice: PLEASE NOTE THAT U.S. CITIZENS MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE ICO.")

44cents now btw just checked...price going up

I have quite a few thousand tokens all bought for under 50cents (most in the ICO first round ):
