I used BFGMiner with my Block Erupter CUBE to solo mining SHA coin, when I start the BFGMiner, I got these error message:

[2014-03-22 19:50:10] blktmpl error: Unrecognized block version, and not allowed to reduce or force it

The wallet is fully synchronised, even I delete all old block data and do fully synchronised again the error still exist. Would the dev please tell me what does it mean?

In GitHub description there is:
Solo mining:
BFGMiner supports solo mining with any GBT-compatible bitcoin node (such as
bitcoind).
Does that mean that it work only with Bitcoin nodes?
How to make it work with another currency nodes?

Thanks. I used solo mining, I have found a block after I running BFGMiner few hours, so the error message seems doesn't matter.

NEW VERSION 3.0.0, APRIL 5 2013
[..]
  • Android target support. You will have to compile it yourself, but it should just work - no patching needed.

Is there any version compiled for Android, can not find any info about it?
I'm curious if I could mine with Bi•Fury with such setup, say Rk3066 dongle?

The Nano Fury 2 recommends making speed adjustments on the fly in BFG Miner, I wondered if this would be possible/beneficial to something like the Antminer U2+ ? As opposed to presetting the Hex at launch for the U2+.

Yeah sow this one but it requires patched Nexus 7 kernel... so only for this device I guess?
I guess regular android kernel is not enough for miner to "see/communicate" with Bi•Fury device...?
Anyway thanks for reply Luke and for your great miner Smiley

My understanding is that the patched kernel is only needed to enable OTG and charging at the same time.

When nwoolls has time to finish it. I believe it's planned for 4.0

I've had his fork running for about 4.5 days now without a hiccup on two Gridseed miners.  I should have two more arriving tomorrow.

I can confirm that! Nwoolls fork is running excellent for gridseeds. Much lower cpu utilization and very stable compared to cgminer. It's only missing a few options like per device freq settings. And maybe fine grained freq setting.

How many Gridseeds are you using? I'm still having issues over 10+ on a single instance, where the girnyau fork of cgminer is working for me with that many on Debian.
