I will be doing my damndest to complete the wiki updates by the end of the weekend and the (hopefully) final version of the whitepaper next week, then handing things over to ingsoc to begin the kickstarter and developmental process.

Lots of stuff added to the wiki

http://www.netcoin.io/wiki/Netcoin:Community_portal

TODO:
- Misc notes on the "Polymorphic, sequential memory-hard secure hash trees for PoW".  The paper covers this section pretty well, so I'm not sure I need to delve into it too much in the wiki, but I would like to mention a few things.
- Some kind of analysis on double spend probability given X% of PoW and Y% of PoS
- Misc notes on coloured coins (again, this is straightforward from the paper)
- More details on the lightweight ledger system (I think I've worked out an algorithm to verify consensus transaction lists in my head over the past couple of days, I will post to the wiki about it)
- New version of whitepaper

Wow, great job! I'll do some touch-ups a bit later as I go along to save you the hassle. Looks good. Cool

You should be. Smiley This is all new territory. I think if it goes well, and everyone is happy by the end of it, we can look at applying it as a model for bringing new and experimental ideas to life. That's why crowdfunding is great, we can bring alive something like Netcoin Alpha after Netcoin and keep it as a parallel experimental steam with minimal financial contribution per person for development to really push the limits. Of course, that's getting way ahead of the hard work in front of us, but I've got high hopes for the future of crowdfunding and ideas like these.

Intermittent reinforcement schedules are proven to work well for payments.

Intermittent reinforcement is illegal as a pay method in some jurisdictions, and even illegal in the form of slot machines (aka gambling) in some jurisdictions, because it is pretty much the best reinforcement schedule to use when you want to wean the workers out of being paid without having them quit...

Yes think Twitter. And yes it is the best reward mechanism. I will propose Netcoin adopt this mechanism now that it is a proven success with the Primecoin case study.

I figured I would post this dialog for the benefit of Netcoin.

We'll have some info about the crowdfunding and other details about the specifications this weekend. I'll take a few days after tacotime makes this public to prepare a concise package of exactly what everyone gets for what they put in. I also want to detail exactly what's going to happen during and after the funding. There will be bumps along the way, so I just want to make sure everyone understands exactly what's going to go on so nobody (or close to) feels unhappy with the process!

Or others who want to be a contributor know exactly what they can contribute in the project.

Thanks for your update
