I agree with Leon Fu that privacy coin will be big and XSPEC is one of the better ones out there, that's for sure.  Some FUD may want to slam / tear down others instead of building the privacy coins up.  Trolls will troll.  Ignore them and don't reply to them.

I've always believed the only fair coins are mined with an announced start. I made an exception for SDC due to the concept, execution, and unique features. I'm sorry to say this coin looks like a complete scam. But that's just me. I'm not normally one to piss on another coin, but this is just a ripoff copy, and in this case I think a lot of people are going to get screwed. Hope I'm wrong...

What makes you think that way? Just the fact that it has been an ICO?

Leon Fu is correct, we need to get involved in anonymous altcoins rather than bitcoin, bitcoin is not full anon, and the taint analysis can help people to check the blockchain information. Anon coin is the future, like XSPEC.

So, XSPEC has been integrated into their payment systems and all merchants that use Coinpayments to accept crypto can now accept XSPEC. I am in the process of compiling a list of vendors that use Coinpayments according to this list:

Once I have compiled a list I will contact all the vendors and ask them to add XSPEC to their list of cryptos. That means that you may be able to use XSPEC with some vendors soon. I will publish a list.

(1)  After many months the Windows wallet crashes on exit.

I am sure this will be fixed soon. The DLLs errors on exit is a Windows issue and doesn't affect the function of the wallet but it will be fixed.
It's the first I hear about an issue with Avast and I don't use either Avast or Windows and nobody else has flagged this. We will look into it. Can you give us some more details about this.

If you encounter these types of problems, please come to Slack and I'm sure they will be solved. We have a #support channel for this. The first one is a known problem afaik. If you want to help, please also open a bug report on https://github.com/spectrecoin/spectre/issues and describe the problem. Open bugs on Github will (normally) be solved eventually, as that is the nature of a bug tracking system.

It is not a "ripoff copy", devs are honest and working hard. There may be technical problems as well as communication issues (bug reports being overlooked etc.) because this project is in alpha stage yet. Please report any problems you encounter and try to solve these issues, so at the end everyone will be happy!
