i get around 30 % more hashrate when i run 2 instances of miner with half intensity on my 1080s.
Tried it for a short 30min test with my 1070s and did not get any h/s improvement. I also tried this with a rig which has 2x 1070, 2x 1080, 1x 1080ti, single instance, half intensity: 1260, 1271 sols/s each (total 2531), one instance full intensity 2571 sols/s. No different. hmm maybe my intensity is just messed up.

Does anybody else have problems when the devfee switches pools? It freezes for me multiple times per day. https://i.imgur.com/gb6v0Rk.pngIt freezes indefinitely and only recovers if I press a key in the command window, it unfucks itself. Ideas? I tried adding the script to restart the program on hangs, but it hasn't worked. I'm getting a bunch of 1080s in on Monday, and if I continue to have these issues I'll probably have to switch to something else :/

Is it possible to get the results from the api (127.0.0.1:42000) for each change/record for the power and speed in a log file? If yes, what should I add to the .bat file (or .cfg)?
I want to check the effect on TDP change on the speed (power/speed) but from multiple time frames - like I would let it run 2 hours with TDP 70%, another 2 with 75%, 2 with 80% and so on and see all the records for each 2-hour interval.
Thanks

How can we fix this?

@EWBF_ a small feature request - print out the card's UUID on start-up when finding the card. That way we know for sure which card may be acting up more easily.
Thanks!

Okay, I'm totally new to Nvidia mining. (bought my first 1080 gtx card)
What do I need to download? When I mine with AMD I need AMD Sdk. What do I need for Nvidia?
Can I mine successfully on Windows 7 or do I need to switch to another OS?
What drivers are the best for Zcash?
What command line do I use in EWBF miner?
What clock/memory is the sweetspot for msi gtx180 x?
After mining 4 years with AMD I feel noobish again. Yay!

Hello all, I recently set up two rigs running EVGA 1070 SCs. 5 x 1070's i one and another with 4 1070's and getting excellent results with EWBF with a steady 4+ Sol/watt across all cards. My settings in MSI Afterburner are 58% power, +566 memory clock, +0 core. They have been stable for days, running extremely cool (it was over 100F outside today with limited cooling inside) and sip the power. Using the most current Nvidia drivers. I did not flash my cards. I am thankful for all the helpful information on this forum and would be happy to answer any questions.

@n3r0srome you have great efficiency but you lose a lot of potential on mining - did you try to set clock +100 and raise power limit to 65%? you might get 400+ Sol/s afterwards and still not too high power consumption.

Hi All, Need some help. I have a Biostar TB85 board with 2 Gigabyte GTX 1080 cards installed. I installed a fresh Win10 64 (think it is the Creation Ver, downloaded with Media Creation Tool). Run all the updates and tried to mine with this miner and also CCminer. Changed the info in the .bat file to mine and ran it. I get stratum time out. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzMjsxCLio_tLU41S2htUm5aUjgThis is connected to a switch that already has 1 AMD rig running without an issue. Tried disabling AV/FW/FW in router. And nothing helps Any idea? TYIA ZX

you need driver and miner i use 382.53 and it gives me around 550 but as far as i know all of the latest ones are good. for ewbf well pool has the command just put the intensity on 64 and oc the memory a little bit down the clock and power limit and 1080 is good to go my clock and mem are +600 on mem and - 10 on core 90 % on power limit. windows 7 is fine i use it too.

Hi guys! I need some help! I have several Gigabyte GTX 1080 Ti 11 GB (Gaming OC). I have this problem: when it goes to mining my memory frequency drops from 11000mhz to 10000mhz, the card automatically autoselect that profile with 5000mhz(showed in picture). In all other application, gaming, benchmarking etc...the card autoselect the First profile and the memory works at 11000mhz http://imgur.com/a/yveJhAnybody knows why? Thank you

When are the dev fees getting calculated? Never saw the message so far...
Temp: GPU0: 64C GPU1: 64C GPU2: 64C GPU3: 63C GPU0: 387 Sol/s GPU1: 374 Sol/s GPU2: 384 Sol/s GPU3: 380 Sol/s Total speed: 1525 Sol/s +-----+-------------+--------------+ | GPU | Power usage | Efficiency | +-----+-------------+--------------+ | 0 | 92W | 4.21 Sol/W | | 1 | 92W | 4.07 Sol/W | | 2 | 92W | 4.17 Sol/W | | 3 | 92W | 4.13 Sol/W | +-----+-------------+--------------+
Thats a mystery to me also. I read recently that -fee option no longer works in latest version. FUD or truth? I have no problem with fee, I have problem with no transparency on this issue. The --fee option works in the latest version and will work in all future versions. Miner maintain two connection to the fee pool and to your pool, then it does the work 1000 times for your pool and 20 for the fee pool and so on in the loop. Does anybody else have problems when the devfee switches pools? It freezes for me multiple times per day. https://i.imgur.com/gb6v0Rk.pngIt freezes indefinitely and only recovers if I press a key in the command window, it unfucks itself. Ideas? So... about that script? EWBF? Anybody?
It should be fairly simple to write a miner reset code when sols drop to zero, I'm not a dev, but it's no nuclear science, right guys?

Try running miner while firefox with HW enabled is On. I'm running mine like that, otherwise clocks like to drop. There is also nvidia-smi but i'm to lazy to setup it properly with commands, firefox in the background fixes it for me. The only thing that make my gpu0 to drop clocks while mining is jriver player in fullscreen mode, that's really weird. If it only drops memory on gpus with no display connected, fiddling with nvidia-smi is probably best solution. Example bat for my gtx970: cd /d "C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NVSMI" nvidia-smi -i 1 -ac 4005,1402
pause Thanks for you reply! But it didn't work, with firefox and HW enabled. It didn't work either with nvidia-smi...I made a bat file and I got this message: Setting application clocks is not supported for GPU 0000:01:00.0. I don't know what to do...

SOMEBODY PLEASE write the correct script/code for miner reset when a GPU hangs, 'thread exit code 46 - or whichever".
It happens to me during the night and I lose hours of mining because of that, I tried all suggestions from this topic, but nothing worked.
And send me your btc address, I'll give out a reward to successful solution.

Put this in the .bat file: :loop miner --eexit 1 --server eu1-zcash.flypool.org --port 3333 --user t1QmwNgVc6VrhTuGgL9so7jeVz1BYcN3dPz --pass x goto loop --eexit 1 - exit when gpu cannot be restarted.

Problem is that gpus are restarted and keep working with 0 sols, so program doesn't ever terminate with this command unless we manually reopen it.

Currently mining with 4 Gtx 1080's.
How do I use more than 3? Whenever I plug in the 4th one it randomly chooses one to not work.
I have a 1500 Watt power supply and a z97x motherboard, running on windows 8.1
I'm guessing it's a windows 8.1 issue?
