The problem will likely be the flood of L3's coming online and the massive increase in difficulty.  Profitability is likely going to get squeezed pretty hard here.

I am trying not to be negative, but I think we have already seen the precursor with the big spike recently that we thought was the A4's.  Most likely that was due to the L3's and not as much the A4's.  Just a wild guess on my part, but it certainly fits the time line.  Not sure that these miners will be profitable for very long.  I guess we will find out soon enough.

There are at least 6 different coins with reasonably good profitability. My guess everybody will mine GAME and LTC, so difficulty spike will be with those coins.

I hope you're not counting any of the "merged mineable" coins like Doge in your 6.

Basically take 1.78 BTC / (0.03*0.25) BTC daily profit = 237 days.

With difficulty increases it will probably be a year.

However no idea what these will resell for next year. Could hold half its value.

No idea why you would want to take this risk when you can get a RX 470 for like $150 which will ROI in 3-4 months and has GUARANTEED warranty and will most likely still be worth $75 in a years time.

According to online calculators, we can earn millions of XMR if we use an ASIC. is that true?

....
with a 3% difficulty increase.....
LOL
Are you fucking noobs?
With 3% difficulty increasement it will be 1212000 (up in 16 time from now) in 365 days. It is absolutely impossible.
Even bitcoin with the super bull trend in 2016 year had only 3 time difficulty increasement from 103,880,340,815 to 317,688,400,354.
Man you need to learn to count .

allow you to count difficulty, and you'll see ROI is hard.... super hard, even with free electricity.

Got some in today they are very quiet and only use about 370w per unit.

This is 3 units running.

This is great news!  Quiet, lower power than the 400w.  Sounds good.  How do they hash?  Tried them on a multicoin pool to see if they can handle the rapid shifts?

I believe these are what the A4s should have been like. They are very stable and quiet I can post a video for the noise level if requested. I ran them for about 2 hours on clevermining as I needed to ship them out to customers but they hashed at over the expected 250Mh i was getting 260-280MH. Then once it would switch it would sometimes drop back to 200-215 then climb up quickly. I will post some LTC mining speeds and the clevermining hashrates later today.

Thank you for the info.  Anything you can share would be very helpful for people here interested in this miner.  I am looking forward to getting my hands on one to test it myself.   Grin

3 % diff? 2% pool fee? What a nonsense!

Max diff could be 150-200k in the end of 2017. it is only 0,75-0,8% of average increment.

If you look at average increase of difficulty over the last year, it's alot more than 1%, maybe 2%-2.5%, and all thoses news scrypt miners aren't goingto make things easier either, look at the huge bump of difficulty over the month of december 2016, that's probably because all those new miners are running full speed @ chinese farm.

Anyway, i think you could use less rudeness, so long...

I'm curious to know how loud the fans are, do you have the ability to take a reading?

I don't have anything to measure the decibel level of the fans, but I can post a video of the 3 miners running.

I know the Bitmain site said they were 60db for the L3.  So that sounds like a very comfortable noise level compared to most of the other miners out right now.  Sounds like they may have been accurate in the 60db rating.

Nice, ~60db beats the crap out of 70+ we've been seeing out of many recent miners.
