I agree but there are a lot of good coins coming up with good features and large community, one of this is Burstcoin ,the coin that can get a lot of volume and supports from investors and miners are the one who's going to stay here ,we;ll know this 2017 if those coins that launches last year are building up.
Yeah. Burstcoin is good altcoin providing unique features like decentralized crowdfunding and the ability to mine coins with free space from your hard drive. Although it is pretty cool, and has a good community and development team, it is somewhat unprofitable to mine coins with your HDD at current rates and difficulty. Still, it is a great way to introduce newbies into mining, since it is much easier to setup an HDD than an ASIC or GPU for mining cryptocurrencies.
One thing that I have been wondering is that if Burst is reaching its total supply, its price hasn't increased that much, as the coin is getting scarcer than ever. But still, I have hopes for Burstcoin to survive in the future, as I'm a long term holder and investor of the cryptocurrency.
Litecoin and Dogecoin are the pioneering altcoins although there one of the altcoins that can survive, aside from them there is ethereum, Dao, Xmr, Wbb, etc that are probably will continously stand.
Maybe so. If ETH could recover and become stronger than ever after the DAO hack, and its flaws, then it could maintain its place as the second cryptocurrency in marketcap besides Bitcoin, and survive for the long term.
In the case of Monero, it can manage to survive in the future if it remains usable on the deep web markets, and provides promising innovation with its unique anonymity technique.
Other altcoins that might survive in the future would be: Dash, Lisk, Waves, ETC, and Ripple. Just my opinion.
