Tech disconnects the people from the rest of society. Now this might just be a phase ( which can take 100's of years ) after which humans might transcend their current form and ascend into transhumans, part flesh, part tech.

Its better for the children to play with their IPads rather than they play outside with the super hot weather that can cause heat strokes. I remember there are already many students who join the athletic meets died due to heat. Pollution is a major factor and the climate changing why the children are always looking on their ipads.

But as a parent it is our duty to keep everything in balance, we must give time to our children to use the Ipads and a time to read books, watch television, chatting with the family, and other activities. It is not the fault of the children why they are focused on Ipads it just means that the parents are so busy that they give their children Ipads do they will not disturb them.

So if we dont want children to keep staring on Ipads let us not buy one and spend quality time with our children.

Wow this is a new insight for me. I've never looked at it this way - evolving into transhumans. If so, then this would be a whole new story. I guess even if we think of this is just a "phase" now. I still believe it imposes a really negative impact on man. The fact that it disconnects people to each other simply says that people are losing interests with each other, lacking compassion and empathy.

Technology can affect you physically,mentally. Physically because if you're staying in the front of your computer,ipad or phone can damage your eyes because of the radiation, and mentally because you can watch or read some news/article that can affect your mindset. Especially the kids nowadays, you will be amazed that they know that thing or they know how to do that with the help of the internet. Better to watch out for them, its for them also.

In a way I don't agree with you. You must have forgotten how is it to be a child.
I was a child for a while few years back and all I remember is sitting, sitting and steering at:
grass, ants(with a magnifying glass  ) sand, my own feet, not mention sitting at the class and homework.
I dont think that kids are less active these days compared to 20 or 30 years back.
Back then we also have video games and we where playing them a lot. IMO nothing really changed, magazines or books became ipads, stand-alone gaming devices became smartphones etc.
But if you look closer its all the same. Well maybe except some social paranoia about child abuse...

Our kids today just sit in the front of computer, playing games and talking with strangers.
They have virtual friends instead of real one, and don't know how to play games outside.
In fact, I'm even more afraid how technology will affect our jobs and future.
I'm afraid that in the future we will loose a lot jobs because of robots, technology etc.
What will happen with this people, our society etc.

Technology is unfortunately double-edged sword,everything that is good has its bad side.In the past people spent their free time with family and friends and today they sitting in front of computer and play games or hanging out on Facebook.Many children already at an early age becomes violent and antisocial,what I'm not surprised by the kind of games they are playing.

I just watch second season of Humans,about synthetic humans who become aware of themselves and do not want to be slaves to normal humans.It is future where technology is everything,and showing how negative technology may affect human life.

No people are not all looking at their smartphone because of technology.
They're looking at it because the don't want to talk to you. They were doing the same with newspaper decades ago.
And even today all those who like to read continue bringing a book in the train. The only difference is that the book is mostly on Kindle because it's so much more practical. Don't glorify the past, it was the same as today but even shittier.

People nowadays spent too much time to their devices, including kids in this generation, one of the negative effects is instead having a time to your family or friends to bond, you will just sit in one corner and scroll up and down on your phone. As you say, the children are already familiar with the outside world is very limited because it is too focused with his/her gadget. That would make children become lazy to socialize physically, due to they are already focused on virtual worlds. It was not only in children but also in adults. In addition it is possible if wrong uses the technology, children will easily access porn sites. It was not good in my opinion because they are not old enough. It may be necessary supervision of a parent in order to restrict the use of technology such as gadgets to children.

I've overlooked this one. And come to think of it. These should be really taken into account and should be act upon with urgency and great deal of seriousness. Porn exposure and obscene viewings can really impact a child's growing pattern. This may actually induce a serious effect on the childhood development. I really feel now that any government agency should take responsibility how to manage this concern.

when a boy starring at phone time by times, he has fallen to a journey into that negative and positive things. his eyes are officialy getting worse, he begin to find some sh*t things about internet, he stars to forget about outside playground. but in same time, he learns so much about knowledge from internet, having some best teachers from the creative education content from internet, perhaps he will find his new skills.

when we put kids into this issue, well i think the result gonna be .. mixed up but more with negative. but since your title tells me a wider subject than just kids. which i will put the other one, teen to adult.. my perspective's result is .. technology is such a good aspect of our current step of life, you are an teen to adult which you can controll your self well, better than kids. so you can separate the - and + from internet.

Fair point. But how about if we deviate from that context. Doesn't technology have other adverse effects in the world. Climate change etc. Well I can never really say that technology has made a lot of things worse - it is really is man who used it and perceived it as such. But still we can never deny the negative effects technology contributed in the world.

In my country the children have biology classes very early, so children already know many things about reproduction, besides ... today we have novels, series and movies. it is normal to see naked actors and have sex .

It has darker sides as everything in the world. Like you said it makes people spend less time outside, but it also gives us access to information, unknown to the previous generations.
Now you can know what happened in 10k km from you in minutes. 50 years ago, it took hours to get to the radio or TV, and 100 years ago you needed days to learn the news. People are getting smarter thanks to being bombarded by this constant flow of news.

Technology change everything. Look at kids these days. They play on their ipads whole day. They are relying more on technology. Me, when i was child. I always play on our backyard with my friends. And thats makes me feel so happy. Im just playing all day with my friends. And this is what i want for my kids when im gonna have a family. I want to make them feel how happy the chialdhood is.
