Gambling and Superstition

To me as a fair gambler, I dont believe in superstition rather in chance but for chronic gamblers who have made successful entries into gambling, they will have something that they believes works for them and if that is what is seen as superstition to others like me, then I am not in a position to judge them as they have right to their believe. Also, for me not believing in superstition, is a belief itself...

I'm not a superstitious person, but I used to be as a child. I always thought that I need luck to help me with my day, so I remembered to do the same routines every day, not to change things too much or it could influence my luck somehow, and I felt confident because of it.
Right now I can tell you from experience that it's all bullshit. The parking spot you take or the time you start gambling has no impact on your luck. Don't be a slave of your own beliefs.

Superstitions doesn't guarantie you to win in gambling because the actual chance of winning is really on your strategy and conviction with the game. It was just a matter of perception if you believe with supertition to be your guide in exact ways to win, but anyways it can be your part of your predictions to take as you bet along with every rounds of games.

There is no certain in gambling. It was designed for people to lose or win. No one always win, most if the time people lose. However, I agree that superstitions can be a guide for every round, yet it does not give guarantie lf winning. Chance of winning our upon ourselves, it's a matter of luck. The only way of winning the game depeneds no other one but ourselves.

You are right in playing gambling theres no really guarantee and most of the results does really depends on luck and theres no superstitious belief could able to make our chances of luck will grow bigger.Yes,it does believe on ourselves only not on superstitious beliefs.

I just wanna know if you guys are supertitious when playing or gambling?

I will admit I'm very supertitious when going to a land based casino.
1. I choose the number of parking slot that I will park. Usually it should have my favorite number 111,777 etc.
2. I don't want to wait for someone if he or she is going to go with in the casino.
3. I wear the same shirt that I won big.

And a lot more..

According To Me there are No Superstitions in Gambling Because Gambling is Just a Shit Game Of  Luck in which Your Winning Chances Depends Upon your Luck and also it is made For Fun Not for Profit Making So I Suggest you to Leave Gambling and Do Another Business.......

Lucky number and color,
That's it ,but not the same stratedgy i used to play because its not the same luck or the same roll on the previous lucky day .

Most likely it's coincidence. I respect people's beliefs that what they wore, or ate, or did in the day they got lucky, in a way affected the results of their gambling. but logically thinking, when we say luck, I don't think there are any outside factors. it's as random as it can be and it will come at any time whether we believe in superstition or not.

No, i'm not superstitious. it doesn't matter what you wear, the time you gamble. if you're lucky you're going to win or else lose. if superstitions worked one could be a rich person lol.

Yes, superstitions work for our emotions and it is always being believed in may cultures that our positive vibrations will bring us positive results. If that is true, then there would be nothing wrong on having some assumptions on our daily routines and especially in gambling too.

As I said superstition is nothing but a logical fallacy which could make your actions less consistent.

I agree this are fallacy lol.  This kind of belief have nothing to do with the result of the roll or whatever gambling game you are playing.  Take in mind that gambling games such as slots, dice are dependent on the system setup while poker and blackjack is affected by skill of the player.  So all this ceremonies and supertitions have no effect at all.

I don't think so . Do you believe in the people who can see your future or the person you only meet ones but he will know your past and future ? he said that color is lucky for you .etc.. And as i experience its true that date is luck for me just like what he saw even i didn't share my thoughts on him .BTW, the most important for me is as long as i believe myself and i have a right mindset thats it.

Superstitious believes are based upon the human evolution changing from a particular level to the next stage of development. In the mean based upon their own tradition has superstitious believes. This in turn was continued by the people even after generations without reason. Some say as their ancestors followed they too following it. Also with gambling superstition does nothing, luck is all thats required to win more than the strategies.

a few friends of mine always have a "superstition" like "i don't bet on tuesdays" or something like. others stop if they win a few times in row(because that would have spent all their luck of that day lol)

Definitely, those luck are just on the same day that they do some chants or something made with their superstition. Yes,chances of winning doesnt really depend on those superstitious because on playing gambling you will definitely need big luck in order to win.

I don't believe in superstition because I believe that all thing that happening to you when you are gambling it just a matter of luck and some times it is just a coincidence that some people won for example at the same place, time, bet and even a shirt . all things are just happening as a results of every decisions you made

Supertition has always been a part of gambling and i can't say i have Supertition but i certainly feel like it sometimes.
this comes from the fact that gambling is a random thing and you can never predict anthing about it, that is why people try to associate it with extratrestrial events and things that they don't know. and because of this randomness, sometimes they win and thing their beief in a Supertition was correct and they keep doing it more.
but if you think about it more you can see there is no Supertition in our logical world.
