Gambling and Superstition

Some of the things from thread made me laugh, I didn't know there is so many superstitious gamblers. I'm not a believer, I dont believe in God, spirit's and other phenomenas. I know that everything is one big circle, and no matter how much we are up, we need to fall down, and reverse. I think its more about trying and persistence, but that is thin line with addiction. What we need in life is balance, and that is how I gamble, I change style's, games, casinos, I change amounts that I gamble with, and I always get out happy from casino, no matter do I win or lose, its a game and its important that I enjoyed while I played.

No, I don't believe in superstition. Even if one day, you win a lot of money by doing that, It's stay superstition. So I want only the luck, If i go to casino and gamble there.
The worst thing i hate it, If i follow some bets of other gamblers. or they follow me.
I didn't expect to win when i do that. so, I don't get any bet from other, i will do it with myself, Even if i lose. I don't feel bad so much.

It's better to have your bets base your own analysis because that is why we gamble, we will not learn if we will only follow what others will say and even if in times we will win it will not fulfill us as a gambler. I believe the effort we are making will give more fun in what we are doing and that way it will make us stay in gambling longer.

I have favorite numbers, that is some kind of superstition. I always choose them when I bet, or I count to that numbers. I'm not some freak about it, I have my limits. I like to listen good music and I dont like big lights, but that is more about ambient and comfort, all thou its a part of superstition, how can we gamble and win if we don't feel comfortable. Me too supertition for the number of your favorite and i used it during or when i am gambling therefore supertition is a luck number for which the destiny is to win in the game.  To not to lost is win in the game or to not win is to lost in the game.  Its either the two of the people around and see.

don't worry everybody has some level of superstition like this, even those claminig they don't have it, you can see they are always more willing to do certain things that others like choose a certain number because it seems to be more winning number!
i think it is safe to say that these types of stuff is also a part of human nature like being greedy.

Well it doesn't have to actually be your own analysis, just bet on your own instincts and gut feel. If you analyze your bets, that would just put pressure on you and would make you commit mistakes. When it comes to gambling, sometimes it's best if just stick with what you feel is going to give you good results.

Alot of people are superstitious when they are betting.
whatever helps them win I guess.
sort of like rubbing a lucky rabbits foot in a sense.

well if you feeling comfortable with something that you think that giving you some luck maybe that's superstition in terms of doing some lucky pick
but nothing will change up, if you are unlucky you will not win whatever lucky thing that you have beside you.

The way I find my luck is I invest 0.01 btc and gamble some and if I'm winning I'll invest more and continue withdrawing profits. I have heard worst superstition than yours , a gambler would only gamble if no one wore red in the casino.

That is called a superstition and he might have lost that wearing that too  but he might not notice that because his brain supplies the signal that he won big time earlier and his thought process wont change,hope he will wash it atleast once in a month . I do not have any experience in a real life casino but i hope there are many people with stupid thoughts like these.

most people have it too and still believe it would bringing bad things or good things for the particular number and maybe you have been heard that most people recognize number 13 as the bad number and i think this is superstition too because usually people will avoid all related from that number

Yes, around the world people are having different opinion about their sentiment and luck deciding things but all are different types of superstitions.

I just wonder if these are not working kind of activities, how people will be following these till today. They must be successful by following some superstitions and that is the reason they are still following them. But it will not work hundred percent but may crack success most of the times imho.

In Indian culture people are very much showing interest on astrology and I do hear some people are using astrology for their trading as well as for their gambling.
Still, I'm not sure about their success rate. But they are using it because they are finding it is useful as per their belief.

Because only believing on something will never be proven by anything.
So people just keep going on it , while in the first world they are rely on science, anything that cannot be proven anf non sense then it is useless.
There's no harm indeed to believe on that kind stuff , just make it as another fun factor in gambling.

yes I also supertitious when I was playing or gambling.

1. When floating towards the cockpit and I met with the prospect of dead buried. I do not proceed cockpit.
2. Apparently  when rest one's chin on the hand when I was playing or gambling

Well I don't add superstition to my gambling life but sometimes I feel going for a particular direction and not the other and that's what makes it a wee it superstitious but I accept whatever the outcome might be without necessarily cursing or praising my stars.

There is no way one would have been involved in gambling and will not attach some level of superstition to it. Even the luck that we all talk about as a reason for winning in gambling to me is superstition because how do one that is lucky today becomes unlucky tomorrow. How does one determine that? There is no way it wont be attached to something, maybe I woke up right, maybe the person I spoke to, or the the guy that advise me and the likes. One way or the other, superstition is involved.

Yet some people think some reason when they win from gambling. They want to repeat that experience so they think of something what made them lucky on that day. They think that made them lucky and try to repeat it the next day expecting they would win again but they don't realize it won't happen from gambling. I never see a person that wins consecutively in gambling.

I believe in luck while gambling but i am not superstitious. Wearing same tshirt doesn't make any sense, you need to be lucky to win some good amount in gambling and also you have to cashout at right time after winning, if you continue you will loss all at end.
