Gambling and Superstition

That's a more matured way of thinking but we cannot blame people if they believe on that kind of thing. We have our own method and we are the only one who can tell if it is successful or not. But to be realistic, since gambling is based on chances, we should calculate our chances based on the analysis  we arrived.

Ok guys, I see a lot of you somewhat believed in superstition so I guess
I'm not the only one. Just to keep you updated. My wife and I went to
our favorite land base casino. I'm a little hesitant at first because I'm really
tired juggling my offline business and other activities. But I said, Ok let do it.
Then our friends tag a long as well so it was really fun while going to a
casino.Of course I wear my favorite shirt again which is not in good condition
anymore so I put up a jacket just to cover it up. I just bring enough money
just to play.  I went to my favorite slot machine. Bonus on the first roll!!!.
Withdraw everything and didn't play for the next 30 minutes. I look and see
how my wife and my friends are doing. Give my wife a few to play with
then I decided to play in roulette. Bet on no. 6 and 9. First spin was no 6
so I won!!!. bet on no. 6 and 9 again. I won again!!!. I lost on the third spin
though. So I stop and went home with some winnings on my pocket.

What can you say about that? superstition or I just got lucky that day?

People have their own methodology to predict the event outcomes, at the same people need to realize how they're going back to the past in development by believing superstition. If someone wins on a event based on superstition and by the next event if lost believing the same superstition, then in what manner he will justify superstition is the one that make life or better earning. Everything is based on our prediction coinciding with luck.

Gambling is a matter a of destiny. It pertains to your luck and badluck. So in superstition i think its prediction of what will the lucky number to bet and also a playsafe to play. Gambling is also a matter of strategy when you bet a triple or double in row bet.

I will admit I'm very supertitious when going to a land based casino.
1. I choose the number of parking slot that I will park. Usually it should have my favorite number 111,777 etc.
2. I don't want to wait for someone if he or she is going to go with in the casino.
3. I wear the same shirt that I won big.

Not only I'm not superstitious but I even don't have any superstitious friends. So it's really interesting to me how's that working for you? Are you really winning when wearing the same shirt you wore when you won big?

IMO only if it works every time it makes sense to think about it. Otherwise those are just coincidences.

For me its a superstition as i believe in . I want to know only where i am lucky in life and what things will bring my luck .
So i guess your lucky shirt and that is your favorite and the numbers 6 and 9 was your lucky number .Just like on my superstition clothing ,date , and color . Plus your proper mindset about gambling winning and lose times will set your stop in gambling.

I don't believe in superstition, but it serves a purpose. Superstitious people fall into these daily rituals they perform and feel better when they are allowed to.
For instance some people like to pray before gambling, to me it's like a superstition, because they believe that saying a prayer will somehow help with their luck.

Not only superstition even calculation will not work in gambling. Gambling is always depends on luck and also we will not have more than one chance either to make money or to loose money. In gambling many people have superstition feeling that they will make money through gambling but it is wrong.

I don't have superstitions with sports bets but in roulette I choose my favourite numbers to put chips on. That's pretty normal though isn't it, the same as most people

you shouldn't believe on it , just enjoy every single bet you have made no matter you are following something that you love like you have a favorite number and then decide to place a bet on it. as long as it's make you have fun , well there's no harm to keep doing it .

I don't believe in mystical things either but when it comes to gambling people tend to start noticing that for example if the light in the room is on - they are losing and if the light in the room is out - they are winning. I don't know how to explain those things but they've been reported for centuries.

For example for me it's my mood. Although I know that the result of a bet doesn't depend on the the mood of the player, I'm trying to not gamble when I'm in a bad mood because I always lose when I'm feeling bad.

In dice game, if I watched something that relates to gambling and that tells my whole day is on bad luck I won't gamble all day long, the same thing with poker.

I don't know if this is included in superstition, I saw some online gamblers who waits a lot of time, specially in roulette and dice, they are waiting for the color and then they bet after those as they are thinking that the color is lucky and they should follow it...

Lady luck is on your side that night. It has nothing to do with your favorite shirt or your favorite number. Although a lot of us has its own favorite number to bet to, but I think its just pure luck that you won. I still don't believe in superstition I just bet and always think that I will win every spin or every roll of a dice.

We do have our own approach in gambling, some are superstitious while some just believe only on the figures that they can analyze. Having said that, there are people who believe only that the only important thing to have in gambling to win is luck and skills is not the big factor. Usually they do not succeed and they are those who keeps complaining about losing because they live in their dreams instead of the real world of gambling.

I don't believed in superstitious and it has no connection in doing gamble in a gambling. And I also don't me believed in bad luck or lucky day, For me if you win in the game   it is simply because you did the thing to choose in.

Superstitions has nothing to do with gambling luck and the one you should trust is your own skills, and important is you know what is your capability. Some people has their own vibes about superstitions but in reality it doesn't make sense at all, and in a long run it might disapointed you specially when you got loss in the gambling games you are betting. So you must be confident enough to bet with your own decisions, no other than to be relied on but yourself.
