If somebody forget's its password.
Can you retreive it using your Private Key you have been sent on the PDF?
Thank you
No, there is no way that you can retrieve your tezzies if you loose your password. The wallet id and the seed is not enough!!

What?   Typically the see is the private key and that is all you need.

Tezos is different mate if you lose your password you lose all your coins simple.

An important reminder about passwords
Dear Tezos supporters,

The Tezos fundraiser is currently ongoing and has been a massive success so far. If you have contributed, or are planning to contribute, we would like to remind you of the importance of backing up your password.

The password you select on the fundraiser page is used to protect your key in case of theft of your paper wallet. The 15-word mnemonic you see in your wallet cannot alone let you access your XTZ allocation. We do not have your password and cannot help you recover it.

We recommend that you pick a strong password, one you haven't used anywhere else. Committing passwords to memory is difficult, therefore we strongly recommend you write it down on a piece of paper and place it in a secure location. Keep it secret, keep it safe.

As always, whenever you access the Tezos website, please type in the full address, manually, in your browser: https://www.tezos.com

Sincerely,
The Tezos team

Thanks for the details,  hope the PW I wrote down is the correct one!   =?

good question... how to check if I have/remember/write down my correct password?

I wanted to check the same. As i used 2 different passwords associated with 1 email id to make 2 different deposits. But I guess we can only find out about it once they begin to distribute the tokens! And that's like 4-6 months from now. So no going back from here i guess..

Well we are all now officially part of the record for largest ICO. Now it remains to be seen if we are part of something that develops into something unique and huge or if we will also set the record for world's largest flop. Lol

largest ICO means each token will have less value. Just think what's the total market cap can be for this one? uncapped ICO is a joke to me.

Latest largest ICO's - Bancor and SOMN are not doing good Sad Status is ok... it will be interesting what tezos price (and investor returns) will be!

Largest ICO's are not good for investors, we saw that in the other project. The smaller the market value, the more likely it is to rise. Good luck for team and the investors  Wink

I think the collected money for the projects is too much and unnecessary. Ico balloons are beginning to form. Ico's seems to be not as profitable as the old one

They already collected 54 k btc and 275 k eth. What will the team do with all of this money? They will create an apple or samsung or audi? Sorry but this ico without a max cap is so stupid. I know the price will declined after getting on exchanges.

Yeah each of us needs to get on the actual Tezos team haha.   With the way this is going...this is definitely going to be one to hold long...short term profit is almost definitely not going to happen for investors.

I am ok with holding this one long and I didn't invest that much money, so I am just going to sit and watch what develops (whether that is 6 months or whether it is 3 years).   I just didn't want to miss out if it actually turns into something huge.

Why would anybody sell under the ICO price ?

Even the EOS scam is a big 3X above the ICO price with NO ACTUAL CODE, while Tezos has been in development for 3+ years.

This is a no brainer bet if you ask me....

Even if Eos is still at its early stage I still believe that it's a project with great potential and could go colse to Ethereum...

I was looking at how much in BTC has been contributed to the Tezos project this morning at 7:55AM Pacific Standard Time.

At that time there was 53,505 BTC invested.

I just looked right now (2:50PM Pacific Standard Time) and the total BTC contributed has dropped to 49,997 BTC.

The page now shows 3,508 BTC  less contributed than it did this morning.  Wonder what is up with that?
