Except that its impossible for it to have an unlimited market cap because there is a ice-age difficulty bomb in the code. Its going to PoS when ETH goes to PoS.

That or some other type of proof of sharing method.

The wallet does take a long time to sync up, and you have to be patient. Double click the wallet and wait, do not click the link that says "click here to open your wallet before the sync is complete", if you do that you have no status indicator to show you how long the sync will take. OTOH, if you keep it on the main screen, the wallet tends to pick up peers and you can see a status indicator to indicate how much of a sync is left!
