Yes we can do USPS for US and Canada I think it will be the cheapest and fastest way to ship. FYI if you want your chips to ship next day or 2 days then let me know asap or all shipment will be standard 2-3 days from usps priority.

Without further a due please email the following to avalonasics@gmail.com*Note for Address please include as much detail as possible and make it accurate as much as possible. Username: Real Name: Address: Phone Number: Email: Other Info: P.S Post here after you sent the info so I can verify that it's actually you and not anyone else trying to steal your chips! Why do you need shipping info so soon? I was hoping you would ship directly to an assembly service (like burnin) but none are accepting orders yet. It's going to take at least two months for you to receive the chips. What's the hurry?

From now til Avalon Ships it's a good idea to start brainstorming and organizing shipment.

If I send you my info now, can I change the ship to address later once I have decided where to have the miners assembled?

Thank you ragingazn628 and JohnK.
@ragingazn628
1) do you intend to propose hosting the chips in exchange for a percentage of revenue ?
2) is that you can estimate the time required to assemble the chips once the receipt ?

At one point you asked how Avalon would ship the 10K Chips. I don't think I ever saw it answered. Almost without doubt, they will ship them in JEDEC Trays. It's kind of the de facto standard for chip transport. http://www.topline.tv/JEDEC_Tray.html

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Avalon#Chip_SpecificationJust so you know, the chips are 7mm x 7mm QFN48 packages. Considering the size and quantity, they may be shipped in reels, though I don't have experience with large chip shipments. Looking around, it seems like a 13" reel would hold 2,000 7x7 QFN chips. So five 13" reels. Reels would be easy, I'd imagine, since you can just cut the tape into strips, put the strips into anti-static bags, and ship those.

We're order #10129 . NICE work JOHNK.... That will do.... that will do. Thanks - whew. For 1.5%, the workload is crazy. $1800 for 11 days worth of work ain't that bad ;p The workload for John was pretty high. Not trying to be curt, but he really carried this thing. Your part will come (the shipping part), and then you'll be able to decide whether it was worth your share of the work as well. The only person who can determine whether the amount of work he put was worth the reward is John. He says it ain't worth it, I believe him. I will personally be sending a significant tip as soon as I'm able to start mining with these chips and generating some bitcoin, and I will be sending a meaningful tip to those involved. John says it should've been another 1% minimum to make it worth his time. I'll personally be sending an additional 15%-20% in tips, when I'm in a position to do so, since what John did was WAAAY more than those assholes at Paypal or Bitinstant do, and they're taking 2.5% and 4% off the top, respectively, and screwing customers over left and right... John offered WAAAAY more service, and didn't screw anybody. John has also effectively earned my escrow business for life, and I'll refer others to him as well.

Just throwing out some guesses, I'd say each chip is less than half a gram. Assuming .5grams per chip you'd be looking at about 11lbs minus packaging. If we assume a 1:1 ratio of chip weight to tape weight (again, very high), but let's assume it, we're looking at 24 lbs. Figure another nice liberal number for box(es), and call that 6 lbs. 30lbs all told, if we're talking reels. If they actually do come in trays (which I've never seen for a chip that small), it's a whole different ball game... Bottom line, we WAAAAY over-paid for shipping. But that's a fact of life when dealing with China. They jack the shit out of shipping... But what do you do, when it's a 'take it or leave it' type of deal? I balked at paying an equal share of shipping for an unequal share of chips, but again, I'd rather have the chips than not, so we pay what we gotta pay.
