The Gratis Chips...
1. We should all vote on it.
I personally think it is best if we as a group spread these chips directly to developers with promising DIY open source designs.
What do others think?
I agree, although I'm betting some of the developers have group buys themselves where they will be getting dev chips.

Looks like I'm going to be buying another user's 12.8 chips. I would really like to end up with 20 chips for a 20 chip unit though - I know it's a long shot but is there anyone in this thread that wants to sell 8 chips worth of their share? edit: for that matter I'd love to buy someone's 18 or 28 chips, and would pay a bit extra for interest confirmed. You are buying 8 chips from JahPowerBit

+1. BkkCoins should definitely get a few, at the very least.

I think we should wait for an update from Avalon about the test chips to make a decision - just to see how many we are getting and whatnot before we decide anything. I say this fully expecting not to get any (only ordered 26 and I don't need to test with just 1).

+1. BkkCoins should definitely get a few, at the very least. BKKcoins is getting all of Steamboats... but yes if we get our chips first it be great he gets some as well. But again I think we need to VOTE on this. Ragin we need to have this resolved. I have 540+ chips on order I'd love to say that those with larger orders should get some of those freebee chips but I don't think that is fair. We all should get 1 vote and then have those freebee chips sent to developers. We need to make a list of viable options including Ragin for his developers. But we got to do this now the freebees ship in 2 or 3 weeks right?

If anyone else is looking to get rid of some chips, I'm already in this group buy for 13, and would love to get another 30 or so.

I have 13 chips on order. The Klondike board looks like it'll be set up for 16. Does anybody have 3 chips to unload?

Test chips, whatever qty that ends up being, I think should go to a dev voted on by the group. In fact I think a separate thread should be started where all the group buys can match up with all the PCB developers (with a reputable product in development aka burnin or klondike). Of the 6 or 7 completed group buys thus far it would be a shame to not spread the wealth and get several project boards debugged ASAP. In full disclosure I have chips in multiple group buys and would like to have multiple PCB options as well. Help decentralize!

Great Idea Asics miner develelopment in custom hardware section. This would make things a lot easier all round.

Do you have any idea what you plan on selling the Klondike-1s at retail? Related; is anyone looking at assembling Klondike-1s for group buyers?
