So the ATH in new members was 45,800 new members added in March 2014?  That's interesting.  It suggests a delayed reaction in mass consciousness between a price peak (December) and making the decision to become actively involved in the discussion...

Bitfinex was completely unusable for a while and I actually shorted with 10 BTC @ 440 by mistake instead of selling some coins (I didn't think my first order had gone through). Lucky for me I got to close it below 440

Actually there is not much difference between selling and shorting when they changed if you have BTC you can margin sell them without need to take BTC swaps - so not much difference if you want short term trade.

Good to know.  And it makes sense.  I've been following bitcoin since before brotherjohnf split off his bitcoin channel from his silver updates.  Of course the November/December peak made me realize that it was indeed going to happen.  I registered on here after new years
