Reverse rape? I would imagine that this was a trap to get the shorts to cover... but only a partial trap. We are probably going to settle right above $420. If we break below $420 then it was a full trap. If we break $450 then the shorts are dead. This, like the last few movements, has been entirely tracking TA.
As for the shorts not covering... this all happened inside of an hour (and I was one of those shorts that was sitting pretty until an hour ago). Unless you are watching the charts 24-7 you probably won't close until you come back to your computer.
P.S. -- I haven't covered my short. I should. I am praying rather than responding at this point. I'm honest.

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

I think this is going to be a rollercoaster until china wakes up.. then it will probably go up steadily..
2 options now. 1. China wake up they will buy and price will be rising. 2. China wake up and nothing will happen because they have a price alarm and done what they need to.

Do you guys really think the buying public is going to turn on a dime after getting screwed so hard on the last rally, in a bearish downtrend, just because some dumbass rich people decided they'd drop a few million? Or that these institutions and whales have enough fiat to keep this afloat (as if they want to?) for however long it'll take to rebuild the public perception of BTC? Man they've got a lot of you trained good. Hope you all didn't panic buy too much.
Price leads sentiment. You may correlate the newsflow with market movements but they aren't really relevent. If the price starts going up bitcoin will do its thing - again.

Pretty much biggest news this year. We go up 50 dollars and everybody dumps the shit out of it again. Traders are completely retarded. But damn, this news came at the right time. We so needed this.

You think the general public buys the bottom of a bear market? Really?

F*ck Bfx. I just lost 2k USD to their circuit breaker system. It took 5 minutes for my market buy, 10 minutes for my market sell.

You should know the rules (if not, do your due diligence). Don't be an idiot and try to trade with market orders on a platform with a known circuit breaker.

But they do rebound off the huge news that causes the bear slaughter.

Lets see what happens. But you ignored my point which was that at times like this when the FT is announcing the end of bitcoin the great unwashed are not out and about value investing in bitcoin. They will buy back in much later.
