There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I think we'll hit $300. We've gotten too close to  not hit it at this point. Whether it will be sustained is a different story though, hopefully it is.

Don't worry, fellow financiers! The price isn't tanking again, it's just coiling.  Like a spring.  Like a cobra, getting ready to strike.
And you can trust me, they don't call me The Coiler for nothing u no Cool

P.S. $400 by Sunday, everyone, I'm all in and chooching like a mofo!

The harder we [only appear to] tank (we're totally fine, merely experiencing a healthy retrace!), the better it is for the spring to get coiling, like an awesome cobra getting ready to strike, wham!
So more cheap coins for me is how I see it.

I know I said I was all in, but I haven't been entirely earnest with you, Friends.
There was something I sneakily held back -- Pumpkin's diaper money. She's a trooper, doubt she even cares to be changed every day, kids adjust!

Man...  Just booted that coin and already jonesing for more...
Front me a Bitcoin, bro?  I just don't wanna get sick in front of my kid, in front of Pumpkin...  Have a heart, man...  Just one?

Anyhow, $400 by Sunday, I swear!
awesome thread. reminds me of my own journey in trading. can't say i've mastered fear, but I've definitely conquered quite a bit of it.
cheers Smiley

It figures. My sell order was at $296.62 missed the top by 52 cents. This keeps happening to me. Look people, we don't have a central bank so it's up to us day traders to keep the price stable enough for bitcoin to be usable as a currency. if it jumps up 10% in a day, sell. buy when it retraces 5%. don't let it rise too far too fast. It's unsustainable, draws in the wrong crowd and drives out more cautious investors.

I would be happy to see consolidation in this range for a few days before the assault on $300.

Remember, you have more money to buy the dips if you sell the spikes.

is mt gox that long ago? then speculators chased the willy bot up to $1000. the bot started it ie manipulated it but greed kept it going.

now we have had the price imho held at around the $230 level ie manipulated - there may be no bot but the effect is the same - ie price altering.
those holding the price from dropping were waiting for whatever reason for the upswing. well it has come and is fast $230 to $290 in a matter of days after weeks of no real upwards movements in price.

so if buying in at $290 or higher you have got to ask yourself - what am I chasing and whatever it is when it stops what will happen to the price without buying support.

then again if it pops to $600 and you cash out there you have still doubled your money.

I love bitcoin when its like this. Welcome back brother Volatility

Point still remains that this retrace stopped right around the aforementioned level so I imagine some sort of support must be forming again. One of the dudes that called this last ltc rally is back in 100% right now. I'm not that bold but I did add some to my plate.

I'm in. The forthcoming bounce is just so obvious.
