I just checked bitcoinwisdom and bifinex is still at $713 when btc-e and bitstamp are both down in the mid/low $600 mark, was there a big dump of coins in the last half hour?

bitfinex has been down for hours but should be starting up as I type this

It's up. $650. This is ungentlemen.

I accumulate and don't trade as I have limited time and options.  As I usually buy on Monday I was happy (?) to see the price down so I bought @ 702 as I posted last night.  Being lower I bought some more today @ 666 just before it went down to 645.  Seems to be back up to ~666 at the MOMENT.

Currently, you can't do shit on Finex, they are having issues (nice timing  Undecided ).  When they come up again, you can do leverage long with BTC as collateral (just remember that the value of your collateral goes down together with your leverage position in this case).

Thanks for the help. I went ahead and tested with $500. I now have $500 in my "Unused Margin Funding" tab. I tried to do a purchase with that but it says I don't have enough money.

How do I take that $500 and go long on BTC?

Go to the margin trading tab and place an order, it ll automatically take the dollars you reserved first.

BTW: your collateral needs to be in your trading wallet as well.

Yep bought back half my stash here having carried a few coins down (never go full fiat) from upper 700's. Stink bid to buy back the rest at 500.

Phil Potter of Bitfinex last night talking about the outage:

This sounds like a legit network issue. So bear trap.   Grin

Of course we have redundancy ... it just didn't work. Love it Kiss

Got it, had my collateral in another wallet.

Now Bitcoin to $32,000!!!

Good to know though when I bring more bitcoins in. Thanks.

Decentralized assets are so passé. Maybe we should consider an alternative?

So it's not the auction and brexit? It was exchange issues?
