Once we pass $800 it could still easily drop to $750 before going back up

No, if we pass 800$ it's going above 900$, we'll know in 12 - 18 hours.

These last few dumps have had such little impact on upwards momentum. Just delaying the inevitable rise.

He needs to accumulate cheap coins so he can dump when the price is high and control the thirst of the others. Basically by buying large amounts of coins he will create demand by just holding them and refusing to sell... the others will not sell as well because they will be on the Red, and they can't profit if the price does not grow! So basically he is forcing others to let the price rise and not sell till they get a better price to profit. But he usually repeats this kind of stuff, and you don't know exactly or precisely when he makes his dumps! But from what I see it will be at least another day till the next rise of 50-100$ to $800-850$.

No its because the DAO was hacked executed as per contract

FTFY. Recall that it was explicitly stated that despite the verbiage in the prospectus, the actual code was the governing embodiment of the contract.

this is fine.
just a higher low.
buy now,
HODL,
profit!

The Bitcoin price will only truly correct itself after the block halving, so this can't be it already. Bitcoin could continue to go up until then...
i agree

generally i like the "buy the rumor sell the news" type thing.
but this piece of the puzzle doesn't fit like that.

the halving isn't a rumor
and its happening isn't news.

if you're looking for a rumor, i'll say "bitcoin will be made to scale." thats a good "buy the rumor sell the news" type thing.

selling before the news( successful launch and adoption of lighting) is just bad speculation, or maybe its speculating that they wont be able to pull it off... which is a silly speculation. If you know anything about software dev you know that if you push hard enough you can make anything work, even if your design is wrong; ( not that i think the second layer is a bad design, i'm just say'n, speculating that they won't be able to pull it off is silly ).

stop trading based on lines and numbers and start trading like a pro.
buy Buy BUY!!!

For the last three weekends we have seen an amazing increase in the bitcoin price. I hope this fourth weekend will be not an exception and perhaps we will see a potential break of the $800 level for the first time in several months. $850 seems a good target for this weekend.

I got this email from a merchant telling me to buy their product with Bitcoin because it's in a Chinese commodity bubble. What a way to get a bitcoiner to not buy your product.

In all seriousness this is an interesting question that is very complex and difficult to accurately answer.

nice pump and dump the day of or after.
past auctions have pumped prices and then after price got dumped
but that was during a bear market.
This isn't a huge amount of coins ( its like half the size of the ?3? FBI auction ) so it might just lead to good press and not much else.

agreed its totally unclear.
i see that on very high volume weeks we see like 300million dollars traded on bitfinex
but probably like 90% of that volume isn't fresh fiat getting injected its just traders trading with other traders reusing the same old coins and dollars for a long time.
its probably theoretically possible for price to run to 3000$ with 0 fresh dollars being injected.
if traders are super bullish for some reason price will simply float up, even without fresh fiat.
actually i think that generally what happens, traders push price high up, and THEN the fresh fiat comes in.
