There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Just see it as a "toughening up" process. The more knocks Bitcoin takes the less effective they'll be. Christ we're still above $700 and unlikely to be facing another 2-year dip to $200 so things are improving We already had this in 2013. We need to get to the point where the PBOC is not able knock it over with a feather.

As long as the chinese "Centralbanks" review BTC everytime it hits the 1k$/€ mark, BTC will never hit the xk$/€ mark since there will always be some derpession because of the "investigation"
"derpession"...? can we add that to the list? hodling through all derpessions!

Just one more leg down.
that would be a huge leg, though. 780 is a huge critical point. this is where the bears have to blow all the powder.

it'll probably slide through it like a flamethrower through butter. bulls are usually ecstatic to roll over at moments like these.

Gotta love this place. Dip down to where we were 3 weeks ago and all the Bitcoin-hating trolls are frothing at the mouth with, "RIP Bitcoin 2009-2017", "Is crypto done", "dead cat bounce", "Ponzi", "China bans Bitcoin", etc. LOL Meanwhile my fresh Bitcoin has been secured at about $796USD. Unfortunately my off-exchange dude only had 0.8 BTC to sell me. Better than nothing I suppose and I've got a head start at acquiring enough fiat to buy again if the price continues to dip.
