In a day or two I'm thinking that 860-870 will be retested, then hopefully bounce from there into the 900s.

Well, didn't quite happen the way I expected (e.g., didn't expect the rise to 937 first before the dump), but I believe the retest just happened.  Sideways in the low 900s for a while, then onward and upward from here.

chinese new year is in six days, seems to be such a certainty the price drops every year that day, but there's nothing certain with bitcoin, is it?

No argument from me on that one.

Being a long-term hoarder/saver, I try not to ever spend/sell any coins unless absolutely necessary or considerably more convenient than fiat currency.

An example of the latter would be for travel. If you don't use credit cards, booking hotels can be a little tricky. Expedia accepts Bitcoin.

Now if only Paypal would smarten up and do the same, I wouldn't miss out on eBay bargains due to the high cost and slow process of making deposits. My principal means of adding money to my Paypal account is through Stubhub sales of excess baseball tickets. Even that is a slow process.

Compared to cash and Bitcoin, anything that involves banks or other financial service companies is excruciatingly slow.

LOL. Log cabin in the woods?

Actually I'm in a concrete, steel and Lexan MR-10 bunker downtown in a metropolis of over 6 million people.

Good fences make good neighbors. (Edit: OMG, I"m starting to sound like Drumpf.)

I have dual citizenship: country slicker and city bumpkin.

That's one of the reasons for my higher than average security measures. People know I'm often away for days or weeks at a time.

I'll assume your misspelling of "about" was a typo. It makes you sound like an American hillbilly though.

They seem to think that if you don't pronounce "about" as "a-bay-owt" that you're talking about footwear.  Grin

Ahahah yeah exactly !
All people panicking on the potential "crash" make me laugh.

Aim long term. It would need to lose at least 400 dollars so i lose money!

I'm actually quite excited to see what China's trade volume will be like when fees are introduced on the 24th.

I think  that OKCoin, Huobi & BTCC announments of charging trading fees will have a positive impact on btc price. At least we will not see any fake volumes of btc of these markets.
