Update on my bank situation. I can no longer deposit fiat. Like, at all. No idea how to even pay the fucking rent once the money in my account runs dry.

I can, however, sell coins on kraken and withdraw to my bank from there. No problem at all. It's almost like they want me to get rid of them.

Could we know which bank it is? Probably not important but I wouldn't mind adding them to my ignore list  Grin
Small credit unions can be a bit better.  I've had good experiences with mine regarding crypto and cash transactions.

Danske Bank. Reputed to be one of the most bitcoin hostile in the land, gonna see if smaller banks are more accommodating. Not expecting much on that front either.

So you live nearby.. interesting. Mind to say, if it's not a big secret?

And ofcourse they're hostile to bitcoin, they have all their interest in money laundering Cheesy
Denmark, if that was the question? I hear they are involved in some big money scam lately and that's why they are being touchy, but really, I see that just as a convenient excuse. The smart people in the banking business see what's coming.

Kind of feels like we’re sitting on a knife edge, price slowly decreasing over the last week. Got a feeling this BCH shit fork is going to make us bomb under $6,000. It shouldn’t be connected at all but I have a bad feeling.

Alternatively maybe I’ve been smoking too much weed & should go back to bed.

Hey LFC:  I understand that the bcash bullshit causes some uncertainty, including that their bullshit might drag a bit much on bitcoin, but we already know that bcash and other alts have a lot of froth in the crypto space, so we cannot really expect bitcoin to be shooting up when the various cryptos, including bcash continue to have so much froth that needs to be worked out (and likely purged out of their actual market price).

I know that I am a bit like a broken record, but if the bcash folks actually go through with their dumbass fork drama, then that will be a more quick way to purge some of their value.  My fear remains that either they are going to get smarter and employ some last minute resolution that postpones their value purge, which would probably be the more bearish scenario for bitcoin in the event that bcash nutjobs either reach a resolution or that they were bluffing the whole time which also leads to a kind of short term resolution of their value purge... which would cause their value bleeding to go more slowly (rather than the more quick preference that many of us BTC hodlers would likely prefer).

Interesting read Jay.
So no fork = potentially bad for us
Fork going ahead = potentially good for us

That sums up my current tentative thinking regarding their in-fighting.  Of course, short-term market might not exactly reflect what is actually good or bad because short term manipulators attempt to manipulate as much as they can in order to continue to trick peeps out of their BTC, but ultimately, any of us should realize that the BTC price manipulators are going to gain better momentum if bcash were to reach some kind of short term resolution that causes bullish short-term price performance on their end.

That sounds like a shitty-ass guess that is based on close to nothing.  That is why you used the words "I guess," I guess?

Yep it was and thank you.

The Danske fiasco is probably the largest money laundering ever done in history, more than €200bn over a 9 year period. And it was done through Estonian branch, where I'm from. Our annual budget is just over €10bn, so go figure how nobody noticed Cheesy I've been asked about a transfer of 2k eur and that was before they implemented the new laws, where every transfer over €2000 has to be explained where and why it came from and show proof of it also.

Like i said, there won't be another bull run, until we see a +2k or even 3k jump in one day, all those small green candles are meaningless and will be erased

Way off topic but during this massive sideways action, a small game couldn't hurt. A spin off of our previous "where's WO Waldo"
Name the subject and reveal the location.  More pixels to follow.

Weren't there always reasons to hate this atrocity? Though... I don't think the fall has anything to do with BCH.

I don’t see what imminent positive news is going to give us that kind of pump.
BAKKT maybe because we’re not going to see an ETF approval any time soon.

I think it’s far more likely the next bull run approaches us slowly/gradually in around a years time as the next halving becomes close.

The bull run of 2017 started with slow increases as we approached the last halving. It’s a slow, measured approach. There was a fight for position around 250-300 USD for ages before we started a slow climb up in late 2015.
