In other events, it looks like we may get to see how well bitcoin weathers a proper bear market in equities, for the first time.

What is your point?

Is the stock market and PMs expected to go down in the coming weeks/months?

Are you referring to any other assets, or currencies?

You are contemplating whether BTC is going to be correlated or not?  And, BTC along side with the performance of other cryptos?

Maybe in the short term all assets and currencies go down together?

It's looking more and more like the stock market is tanking. Today steered me onto the bearish side.

And yes, I'm curious how correlated bitcoin and the other markets may be.
Yeah my small fucking stock stash has been swinging more volatile that my Bitcoin. The fucks going on.

You seem to have been leaning bearish for a few months now, and leaning is turning into steering... OMG!!!!  Stop hanging out with hairybeary, majormax and anunymint... They are bad influences on you.

Regarding correlation, I agree that it remains an interesting question - especially short-term - yet, I also believe that it may take several more years of bitcoin existence (perhaps 5 to 10 more years will give us even better perspective) to really attempt to analyze longer term correlations (or lack thereof), and surely many long term bitcoin bulls (presumably several of the short-term bitcoin bears in this thread are long term bullish about bitcoin), tentatively theorize that bitcoin is not going to be correlated with traditional dollar based assets - and likely instead, if anything, bitcoin is presumed to have a kind of reverse correlation with traditional dollar based assets....

Let's see, let's see...

Depends if folk are trading or buying and or buying and/or hodl'ing BTC with discretionary money or if they are treating it like GOLD as a hedge against bad times...

If it is just being held up by surplus cash, we are gonna be in a world of hurt, IF the stock market goes south, IMHO.

Not saying either is so.

We will see Chump or Champ I guess

or a FEW weeks if shit goes NUTS

Certainly possible, this is Bitcoin after all, few things would truly surprise me, but I am actually hoping for a longer slump as I believe that the longer this goes the more explosive the next blow off will be.

As much as I would love to be rich(er) tomorrow, I would rather be rich(er)er er er in a couple years.

Sideways works for me as well, need M0ar. Smiley

Oh God, 15 nautical miles? That's pretty far....

Anyway, what's with the rules against Jet skis? What's the exact wording and reason? Would something like this be allowed?

HAH! I knew it wasn't nano-meters! Cheesy

Way off topic but maybe Ibian or any other boat owners will know the answer...

What about setting up a ferry schedule with all the inhabitants?

Sweet! More Psychedelics. Smiley

Finally caught up! Bed time, nite.

Standing on a jet ski, the horizon is 2.5 nm away.

So 15 nm is 6x over the horizon.  You will want to be able to navigate in fog / dark / squall on both inbound and outbound.

Also you will need to be able navigate coral channels in fog / dark.

So why some places don't allow jet skis?

That's far enough that I'd get a twin engine boat. You don't want a dead engine midway through the trip, has happened to be four times now and it's a complete bitch even in a safe place with plenty of power and drinking water. And storms happen so get something big enough to handle that. Maybe get a closed cockpit too in case of rain. If nothing else for potential guests.

I was about to type that because he'd probably get himself killed at some point without a backup engine.  I guess you could always just throw the EPIRB in the water...if it has one...and if the local 3rd world govt feels like coming to get you.  Then there's the fact that if you live in some 3rd world seastead area, the engines and all the other shit on the boat and even the boat itself is probably gonna get stolen.  Spotting a random goyim with a brand new outboard motor is like a gift from god to these impoverished island people.

15nm out you'll need something that is designed for coastal/ocean-going conditions

Lol.  And good job Marcus linking a boat that's more 10x more expensive than the actual "seastead" itself.

Generally noise and dangerous rider behavior.

Once you are out of sight of land, you really need blue water capability imho.   A sea stead is just one tiny dot in an endless blue.  Take the advice of your builder.

Jordan Peterson, the world's best caricature of an empty, soulless zombie, who at any given time looks like he's about to utter the phrase "life sucks", has been given orders by his Jewish handlers to become upset at the goyim noticing:

https://dailystormer.name/jordan-peterson-demands-the-goyim-stop-noticing/

Peterson has stumbled onto the world's greatest test:  what to do after discovering nihilism.  Then spectacularly failed it becauase the answer is obviously not 'worship the fucking jews'.
