What happened to the cute lil doggie hat, micpeep? Did you create a renegade (unofficial) hat? And break WO consensus rules? Careful with that inferred consensus, JJG. Lest the WO consensus be that you must don a chapeau with that crying baby image. There's consensus and there is consensus. Out of the two, I am choosing to assert a particular kind of consensus. So there!!!

You should also know the TV license has always been entirely to fund the BBC, through all of its outlets online, on TV and on radio which are free and carry no advertising or sponsorship. Most people in the UK rather like the BBC. Even if they do moan about it, they would not see it gone by any stretch of the imagination, nor do they prefer endless ad breaks, as some countries seem to love.
Personally, I'd be fine without the BBC, but then I don't watch Bake Off, Strictly, or whatever. In fact, my aerial hasn't been plugged in for eight or nine years now.

Time Team was absolutely top notch however. We were crushed when Mick Aston died. I don't know what the current drek is like, but the BBC's achievements over the years are notable, too many great shows to even list.

NYC subway. Nice advice, what is 'doors' though? What is "crypto?" Does it include bitcoin? What percent? Why not just say "invest in bitcoin"? What would be defective about saying "invest in bitcoin"? Sounds like misinformation and a distraction to me. I can only guess that some biased media's (Republic in this case) already have an instructions on Bitcoin mentions as a 'brand' which could compete with some government(banks) blockchain future projects. The similar case in China: Anyway I think it's a good thing, random subway rider will search 'buy crypto' and Bitcoin will pop up first.

The similar case in China: Anyway I think it's a good thing, random subway rider will search 'buy crypto' and Bitcoin will pop up first. I am NOT saying that no advantages will come to Bitcoin from various kinds of general "crypto" advertising; however, I am NOT going to lower myself to that level of cowardice, and I am going to continue to rant and rave when I see folks using those kinds of general terms. An additional point remains, as well, that those of us who are investing in bitcoin, and not getting distracted by the general "crypto" and "blockchain" references are going to profit immensely from both the disinformation and the distractions that people continue to have in their investments into shit coins and shit "crypto" projects merely because they don't know how to differentiate the value of bitcoin. In other words, I am not going to participate in such bullshit misinformation, even though I (and other folks who are largely focusing on buying, HODLing and accumulating BTC) am very like to profit from all the dumb (or "mislead" may be a more charitable adjective) people out there.

I consider all that "crypto" and "blockchain" crap to be just more FUD like "kiddieporn", "drugs", and "terrorism". Those with an anti-Bitcoin agenda will try to steer people away from Bitcoin by saying that it's not Bitcoin that matters but "blockchain technology". Some altcoins may be fun (like Doge or Koinye) or even serve a selfish purpose (like Litecoin extending the usefulness of GPU miners by using Scrypt instead of SHA256) but many (most?) are centralized or pre-mined garbage aimed at trying to shake down the rubes. Sorry I'm not buying that crap.

Jesus Christ. I'm here to celebrate bitcoin. the brexit argument was won 2 years ago. my country , my vote. move on millennial
It's also sad to see that the 2 world wars fought against nationalism have apparently been forgotten. What a disingenuous shitlib. Either agree to live as a slave under an unelected, communist world govt entirely controlled by Jews who want to exterminate you via the Kalergi plan or you're a bad person and DATS RAAAAAAYCISSSS. It really is World War Z. Are people really this fucking stupid to believe all million of these people spontaneously gathered together out of nowhere to storm both America AND Europe previously when international Jewish moneychangers like Soros are obviously the ones doing it for the Kalergi plan:

I don't watch either, haven't had a TV since the 1990's - but I am a Radio 4 fan. It's UK PLCs soft power, the radio stuff is pretty much worldwide, which is funded buy the Foreign Office (ex-UK), not the license fee. IMHO the BBC is generally a huge asset that would be cut to ribbons if HMG paid for it directly. I know that is not why it is popular, but since we stopped actually making stuff as much as we used to, it matters in terms of its almost ubiquitous reach globally in reminding people we're here.

Let's not discuss that Doctor Who was borderline terrible to begin with and replacing the male doctor with a woman turned it into a flaming barrel rolling down a hill.

Ten years old, eh - many happy returns. I didn't meet the little bugger until it was a toddler, but it's looking fine and strong. A prodigy for sure, but just think what it will be when it's grown up.
