Crypto Exchange QaudrigaCX Goes Offline, Claims Maintenance Issues

https://cointelegraph.com/news/crypto-exchange-qaudrigacx-goes-offline-claims-maintenance-issues

"Canadian cryptocurrency exchange QuadrigaCX is down for maintenance, according to an announcement on its webpage on Jan. 28. The exchange, which has been wrapped up in legal troubles with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC), is inaccessible as of press time.
...
The exchanges users, some of whom have purportedly been unable to access or withdraw their funds for months, took to Reddit and Twitter. One user asked, “Shouldn't you let your customer know before taking it down?” Some users on a Reddit post speculated as to whether the exchange had gone insolvent. One commenter stated, “They will declare insolvency due to an inability to find a suitable bank to host an account and facilitate transfers.”

Thank you JBreher for giving me the heads up about Jan 3rd proof of keys!  I am still proving and very grateful for the heads up.  I might otherwise have been crying about this news.

You're welcome, xhomerx10. Trace Mayer probably deserves a nod, as I think the entire idea of commemorating the anniversary with this communal Proof Of Keys event was his. I merely reminded the WO community. Of course, fundamentally, the real lesson here is 'Not your keys - Not your Bitcoin'.
Who keeps any suitable amount on these little piss ant exchanges though?

I guess I've got a story for all of you some day.

They keep taking about the ripple's tech. Can I ask what tech is it other than being a centralized database? Am I missing something? How is it going to make a difference over SWIfT? I mean the shit we get by using SWIFT has nothing to do with its tech at all. We stay away from it because it is centralized. So why the fuck they act like ripple is solving a problem? Bitcoin solved it already by kicking the centralized shitheads out.

Am I wrong?

No you're not. But this is ripple. Facts don't matter. Bots matter. xrparmy shills any article like the coindesk piffle and wahay 10% pump. Then Brad can sell more of his kleptocurrency

but this is turning into fake news about r3Corda supporting all cryptocurrencies to replace swift.
basically just any nonsense will do to pump their bags so they can get out

It's commendable!! I think someday people stop eating meat.
Never going to happen.

The problem isn't eating meat either, the problem lies in the draconian conditions in which most animals that are raised for human consumption live.

This is partially countered with true free range, which costs more (as it should, supermarket meat is too cheap). And the problem is fully countered with lab grown meat, which is just around the corner.

If you care about animals buy meat, eggs and dairy from suppliers that let their animals live naturally without restrictions. That funnels money away from battery farming cunts and supports animal welfare by providing genuine farmers with more funds.

This is what vegetarians and vegans should really be doing (unless they genuinely hate the taste of meat), as it would clearly signal the markets to invest into animal welfare over cutting costs by any means available. The end destination of this path is real meat with no bloodshed.
Meanwhile the end destination of veganism is the near complete to complete extinction of life stock that can not possibly live in nature as there would be no incentive to raise it.
