I hate you, Theymos.

At MicroCenter right now buying a pre-made 2080ti system for GRoIN mining.

$2,199...

Sheeeeit.

I really dislike you RN.

Super cereal.

1. It is a hobby...
2. that said, 1080 ti, especially mildly used is better for the buck.
3. #2 is true only if you already have a setup (motherboard, risers, ssd, memory, PSU)...
I played with it, not much to do...it is very stable.

I am not going crazy and buy four more cards, at least I hope so  Grin

Guys, if you like POW, check it out-you will learn lots, have fun and maybe contribute to btc "little bro" development.
Fair warning, though: it works best in Linux, virtual machine in windows is possible, but some extra steps would be needed.

Why aren't you buying used 1080ti cards? I also am filling out my GPU rigs though tbh.

The two charts below illustrate the 4 year cyclic pattern of the bitcoin halving and potential trend lines. The next blow off top could be much higher than shown, I just added the amount we gained from the last cycle. If it equals the last percentage gain it would put the price well over $300k. I think that might be optimistic for the next 3 years but over a longer time frame probable.

So remember this well, newbie hodlers:

When in a few years Bitcoin goes parabolic again, the euphoric bubble pops, and then a few months later supposed "Crypto Gurus" like Mike Novogratz and Tom Lee come out of the woodwork being interviewed in the MSM saying that the market has "bottomed".... well...

SELL

BOTTOM NOT IN

(Those idiots were calling bottom at $8K. They wanted you to buy into their short positions. And they'll do it again.)

And when they quietly disappear from MSM?

BUY

But let's be clear, the wearer of the MAGA hat wants to be perceived consistent with the MAGA brand values.  That's why they are wearing the hat.

Here we have a demonstration of MAGA brand values.

^^^ the yellow line projection is not very likely because it suggests a flat until and even after July 2020.
Since halving would occur in May 2020, current prices would result in basically nobody being able to mine without a loss, so it is unlikely to happen.
In unlikely scenario that it would happen, most of current hashing power would disappear, undermining btc security.
If that happens, I don't see how btc would be able to remain the leader.

A more likely scenario would be for a bull to start 9-12 mo before halving or by Summer-Fall of 2019 at the latest.

That's quite an interesting idea. I'm amazed that nobody has tried it out yet; we can literally store all of Github on a single (bitcoin) blockchain.

Another day of people creating bullshit ideas while pretending it's possible to create a blockchain where transaction validators aren't designed to centralize.  If you cannot solve that problem, contemplating ANY step further is COMPLETELY POINTLESS.  And there is no possible solution to it.  It's 100% UNSOLVABLE.  This is why bitcoin has zero fundamentals except temporary regulatory arbitrage and why all digital currencies will always be nothing more than a poor imitation of physical metals - a fugazi.

Here we have a demonstration of the exact same kind of generalization that lead to Trump being elected president.

You're not very far from being the left-wing equivalent of the two referred to in the tweet with that kind of attitude by the way. Not using foul language and acting nice doesn't change the content or intent of your words, and agitating others directly or indirectly isn't any more commendable than the actions of those two twats are.

Our last argument clearly showed this as well. I initially assumed you were dispassionately arguing points, but you exceedingly reveal yourself as overly emotional and irrational.

Perhaps you may want to consider sticking to drawing charts instead of throwing even more gasoline on the dumpster fire that is politics.
