Interesting. In my non-bitcoin holdings (retirement and junk) my net worth doubled under Trump. Gotta say a fair bit of it was in 2019 and 2020 but facts are facts.

By comparison my non bitcoin net worth tripled under the first 4 years of Obama after 8 years of stagnation under Bush. Second 4 years under O was also pretty stagnant.

well my wife's 401k is all safe harbor so under 1%. is not much . say 1.5k vs 10-11k
our expenses and medical bills were more than 10k worse the the year before.

that is down close to 10 along with the bills 10k more is -20k

The btc helped the year be okay.

You had 7 years fucking around and whining about gox... and thus in 2015, there was a lot of time in which you could have acquired 50 BTC for around $12,500 ($250 x 50).... of course, no one can necessarily know or prepare, but 50 BTC could have been possible to achieve for someone trying to stack some sats during that time.. instead of whining (moping) about Gox.. blah blah blah... which seems to have been what you were doing.

Well, let's presume that someone does not have a very great cashflow, and they merely were able to DCA into BTC...... So, let's go with early 2014 and DCA-ing at $10 per week would have got the person 4.5 bitcoin.. which would NOT be bad.. not exactly rich.. but still pretty decent for a bit more than $3,600 investment and 41x returns... as compared with 40% to 50% returns in gold and equities.

Anyone who has known about Bitcoin since 2013 and isn't rich deserves to be poor.

That's not really fair for those who tried to live on it, or those who had to live on it. It is, just what it is. Yes, all of us who got in early could have hodl, but trying to find another way to put food on the table was quite stressful if you had no other source of income. Back then anyway.

If you invest in something then you should not be spending it..

Sure, of course, if you have no other income then there may be a bit of an issue of having no choice, and surely NOT everyone has discretionary income.
