You know had she stormed the White House armed with a machete and chanting "Off with Trumps head!" then it would have been the equivalent to what happened at the Capital. She should be arrested and charged for a felony.

Had all those protesters taken pictures of themselves at home with Pelosi's severed head, that would have been in poor taste, but perfectly ok.

I don't give a shit if 90% of the protestors were just marching. The 10% of the ones that stormed the capital are all felons and should be charged as such and all the congressmen/woman and Trumps and his sycophants should be charged with sedition.

You snowflakes crying about social media bans. I will drink all your pansy ass tears. You don't get to storm the capital and try to kill people in this country. These people deserve every ban they get.

Cry me a river with your treason.

Picking the worst messages you can find, clearly made by disturbed individuals, and trying to pass them of as being representative for all Trump supporters is just morally and intellectually wrong. You can find tweets like this on twitter from disturbed leftists as well if you look hard enough.

Just for fun, show me them.

You don't get to storm the capital and try to kill people in this country.

I can't believe anyone that was storming the capital, went there with the intention of killing anyone.

If anything, it was the police that drew first blood, killing that woman by shooting her in the neck.

This is the last I am saying about this incident, and recognize I am now posting about politics, which means I need to bust out the ole rusty pipe and go to work on myself as penance.

I'm trying to make a point here about there being unhinged people on both sides of this.

There are too many unknowns right now about the recent capital incident to take any rigid stance. We're presently victims of asymmetric information warfare, and now bringing that warfare here to our beloved Corn shitposting thread.

The Yaoi will become increasingly worse from here on out.

I have spoken.

EDIT: Oh... that's the good stuff right there... Oh yeah... I've missed Rusty.

If you don't believe people went there to kill then you are choosing to rationalize cognitively.  The proof is overwhelming. And they did kill two cops. Oops, guess that was an accident.

Anyway its treason and sedition.

HairyMaclairy will figure it out, when the ban machine turns on leftists eventually.

One day Bernie/AOC/progressives will be banned across social media for "incitement", they will be very surprised.

"But we talked about revolution and defunding the police in a good way!", they'll claim.

Wow!

I wasn't aware of Parler until the recent events. I'm not a social media fan, don't do Facebook, don't do Twitter, don't do Instagram. Don't do anything of this sort.

70 TB? This is a ton of data!

Reading the above quote just shows the intellectual and moral level of some of those American "patriots". I think many of them should probably be admitted to a psychiatric hospital for evaluation. The wiring in their brains seems seriously wrong. And the sad part for them is that Trump probably doesn't give a fuck about them...

Edit:

And another... Thanks Hairy.

Not only that, with this kind of messages the support of all social media platforms has to deal on a daily bases. I agree, someone took the worst message and try to frame this as the usual trump supporter. I am more concernd that "cleansing" Trump supporters is a valid point in the USA. We in germany had 2 times where cleansing the political "enemy" was a thing. In the third reich and after that we had in one half of germany for 40 years a left dictatorship (socialism), where we "cleans" the people who don't fit in camps (a place named Bautzen) or we shoot people who want to leave the country. (not come in... If you wanted to leave, you were shot to death on the border.). All in the name of anti-fashism for 40 year in history. So yes. "Cleansing" people in your country is more of a concern from my end, that this tweet of a stupid nuts job. Nutjobs you have everywhere from tiume to time. But this nutjob has nothing to rule. He is a nobody. But lists and cleansing, that should more of a concern for all of you.

We don't know the circumstances in those unfortunate and senseless deaths. I can't believe they were killed by Honest-To-God America-Loving Trump supporters. That is indeed a cognitive disconnect.

I see it more reasonable to suspect Antifa or left wing agitators as being responsible for those deaths.

EDIT: Eg: https://twitter.com/ReaICosy/status/1348898226687143937

That first dude totally looks like an agitator. That's some real home-grown patriotic America-loving behavior, I'll tell you hwat.

EDIT2: Maybe I just am that out of touch with things. Who knows.

Also, it's not being "extreme left" to prevent people from organizing a coup and lynchings, it's called civilization.

With that type of logic book burning can be justified indeed.
I see it as a slippery slope like I said. Others see it as a good thing for the greater good.

As pointed out that greater good is slowly controlled only by billionaires.

Book burning by whom ? We're talking about private companies here. And usually on bitcoin forums people don't have problems with billionaires, but I guess there are exceptions.

And you think it's ok for a few private companies to control what we can and can not say?

When People got sick of twitter and started to migrate to Parler, Twitters owner called Amazons owner and asked him to shut down Parlers servers to kill the competition. A blatant abuse of power, and probably against US antitrust and other laws.

Consider that AWS has already a history of such "measures". At least they seem to be "fair" in terms of unbiased (left/right) but maybe just picky about following their rules (terms of service). Sometimes more, sometimes less. However, violence needs to be addressed at its sources, and i see this principle applied here. There are many other channels, and also a history (everyone remember the "hotline" client/server network?).

In addition, you only have to go back 10 years before the Brexit vote and find out that in fact the Liberal Democrats wanted an in out referendum as well. Nothing to do with Robert Mercer or Nigel Farage.

Populism made almost all the difference.
UK is about to wake up with quite a hangover after the brexit party.

That's not true, as a free independent nation they can now make trade deals with the rest of the world instead of just the EU.

They will start building a free trade area with just about everyone as soon as they can.
And that area will soon be bigger then the EU, mark my words.
Remember EFTA, that Austria used to be part of before joining the EEC? That was started by the British.

I value your opinion, especially because you have far better historic knowledge than me.
This will become quite interesting. I think the UK may be in a weak position to set up trade agreements BUT the EU is already slowly dismounting itself from the inside.
So relative to the EU, the UK might end up stronger mid/long term, quite likely imo.
