ok here comes my theory about the last 24 hours.

1) Pantera decided that stamp "hack" is actually a really serious blow.

-> losing the faith of stamp users + bad PR (bad security/incompetence)

2) Pantera demand stamp to correct the situation asap

-> stamp didnt accept the demand (for whatever reason)

3) Pantera threatens to cut all ties to stamp if they dont accept the demand

-> removing dan morehead from bitstamp

4) stamp got scared and are now buying btc

i could get a oscar for this right?

 Cheesy

I think you're pretty close except it ends at #3

Pretend, for a moment, that you are heavily invested in bitcoin. Give me an example of a post you would make.

If it doesn't end at 3 wishful thinking on my part. and they do buy the BTC.
I wonder what time of day they would relaunch. I reckon 01:00 UTC but which day? maybe 30th February.

Hmm, I don't feel like you're really LIVING the situation. Get into it. Pretend that your logic led you to hold all the way to this point, it wasn't something random and/or you didn't wake up from a coma. So are you justifying your decision? Are you living in denial? You've got to dig deeper!

I would say diversify your assets, never keep all of your eggs in the same basket. Have an exit strategy. Believe in cold wallets.

You're taking it too far; he can't comply. He's justified himself as a practical genius in here.

Again, i don't want to jump to conclusions but..

"Nejc Kodrič

We are fully rebuilding our systems from the ground up so that customers can use @Bitstamp with full confidence and trust." - Cough Cough! We are not opening in 24 hours

"Our temporary website didn't feel quite like home - so we gave it a little refresh while we work on restoring full services." - Ugh, we fucked up. Pantera Capital left our asses. Let's feed these peasants some irrelevant updates to boost their confidence.

LMFAO... these messages look almost copy-pasted from Moolah's twitter "https://twitter.com/moolah_io" (the comments from 25 september till november are hilarious)... and you know what happened with that fat fuck Ryan Gentle, aka Ryan Kennedy, aka Alex Green. He/They were posting twitter updates every 2-6 hours with bullshit countdowns and fake platform migration stories till everyone accepted their losses peacefully.

had lost account name and password and access for mtgox account after 2011 hack, was sure those 100 coins were gone, forgot all about it ( i went nuts). asked mtgox in 2013 about these coins: 100% refund;
had btc on bitcoin24 when it blew. people in forum went nuts. 100% refund;
had sent funds to bitcoin-central when it got hacked/went offline. people in the forum went nuts. 100% refund;

have funds on bitstamp & not worried. let's see if there will be another 100% refund

my experience so far : exchanges are relatively safe - even for idiots like me ... Cheesy

I'm in a happy relationship with my hot japanese girlfriend. bitcoin is a laughing stock in japan, and they can't get enough of these forums either. I showed it to her family and they said, "there are still people buying these?" they couldn't believe it!

lmao. good one. I was in Japan during the MtGox bankruptcy, and actually saw Mark waddling to his office with his dessert like coffee drink one morning. It took everything I had to not burst out laughing. As you can imagine, he didn't stick around for long to talk.

$15 Silver is NOT the bottom. It will be driven lower to the $10-12 range by the summer.

Save your powder for the summer and get ready for a wild 4th quarter 2015. Thank me later.

Imagine if you'd send these coins to BTC-E in the first place?
Altho its too boring. After you'll get a refund on bitstamp you'll finally get scammed at future bitfinex hack Grin as btc-e will remain the one and only honest exchange Cool
