Another update regarding Greece - Live vote counting - http://www.theguardian.com/world/ng-interactive/2015/jul/05/live-results-greek-referendum

Yes
38.56%

No
61.44%

With 87.55% of votes reported

So, that means 53% of all valid votes is "no". "No" confirmed.

The Greek people chose "OXI" - no ... but it doesn't mean they will get out from the EU zone  (not for the moment).

If they would kick greece out, i would enjoy Brussels stupid faces, when Greece turns to russia.
German Bank is already panicing.

if you speak German here is my Blog comment on that:
https://hirnwellenreiter.wordpress.com/2015/07/06/oh-schade-hat-da-jemand-nicht-gehorcht/

Support Greece!

People will be sending money to exchanges now the banks are open. After it arrives and they start buying the price on the normal exchanges will go sky high. The volume on XBT Provider is an early indicator of things to come.

Litecoin has a strong wall at 5 dollars + It's gonna take some force to break... traders seem trepidatious to push through it, but it can be done if slowly I think...

http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/07/03/us-eurozone-greece-bitcoin-idUSKCN0PD1B420150703?

The Greeks are buying bitcoins to protect themselves from a monetary crash according to Reuters.

yes, greece is very interested in btc right now.
if you didnt check it out yet, take a look at the google trend for bitcoin in greece, it has just reached a new ATH  http://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=bitcoin&geo=GR

Indeed, but I don't quite understand, why Portugal is NOSE DIVING!!!?Huh

http://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=bitcoin&geo=PT&date=1%2F2012%2043m&cmpt=q&tz=Etc%2FGMT-5%3A30

Try adding some other term, like "paypal".  It looks like a general treend of google usage, or just a glitch.

Hmmm 350 would be amazing by the end of the week but I'm not sure if that's realistic at the moment. I'd love to be proved wrong though. Even to just get above (and stay above) 300 would be bullish & for me signals the end of the bear market. It's about time we turned the corner, BTC has taken a real kicking over the past year & a bit, it'll be a very welcome sight when we return to our 'former glories' Grin

274.68 on Stamp. Anybody know what % we're up over the last month or so. Things are looking really bullish at the moment, the pessimist in me just wonders how much longer this will continue. We've been battered for so long, I'm just hesitant to get too hopeful only for us to get dumped on again.

What's pushing this swing in sentiment, it can't just be Greece can it?

Coinmarketcap only gives these percentages for up to a week,

% 1 hour   = 0.82 %

% 24 hours = 4.94 %

% 7 days = 8.22 %

Its Bitcoin chart shows $225 at the start of the month and $275 today. Maths isn't my strong point so I thought I'd let someone else do the calculation.

The price was around $225, exactly a month ago (June, 6th). Well I don't know if it is just Greece. The important thing is that the media is reporting  what is going on in Greece and that Greeks are buying Bitcoin (even if they exaggerate it). While it might be a bit late for Greeks (because of the daily withdrawal limit), people in other countries can save themselves.
I wonder where the price will stabilize. With small % of daily growth we can't go wrong. If the price goes too high quickly, someone will probably dump (a lot).

We are going up again. Smiley

Such growth is not sustainable, especially not coins with weaker infrastructure. It will bounce back, hard.
Note: This isn't a thread about Litecoin.
