Man, the global economic meltdown is happening too suddenly. I wasn't ready yet. Also.... what's taking so long for everyone to go all in bitcoin?
Will anyone really be "ready" for an economic meltdown? We can buy a few BTC, diversify investments, stock up on supplies, etc. . . but we are fooling ourselves if we really think we can be ready for such a thing. I don't think it's that sudden, I just spent all my fiat on a 500ha farm last month... perfect timing! Was supposed to use my bitcoin stash but the price wasn't right... looks like it was a good call OK. So maybe there are few people out there that might be "ready" but the vast majority are not ready.

Yep, that's unfortunately how all of these sorts of things turn out But, the writing has been on the wall for a very long time, people have been speaking the truth about money for years on here and for decades all over the internet, but most seem to be looking for a get rich quick scheme and they will always be left behind.

This is really an unnerving day, especially when we have Chinas stock market crashing hard.... Its getting pretty spooky when you think that with a click of the mouse somewhere far away, an Airline can be grounded, or our largest exchange can be halted... I don't think we have heard the real explanations yet to all of this. Today may have been just a small sampling or test of what could happen on a wider scale. Just keep the power on and the internet and the BTC blockchain going! Some weird shit today no doubt.

It gets tricky when you have kids/family. Selling everything and moving to a farm is not necessarily doable then. I don't have much of a green thumb either so the idea of owning a farm is not pleasant. I think diversifying into BTC is a good start for those of us that are not able/willing to find ways to live off the grid.

Can someone with a US based brokerage account or Chinese brokerage account buy from Nasdaq Stockholm? Doesn't seem likely.
As far as I know, they can. I really don't think that's true. It would have been huge news. There is very little of the worlds wealth that can trade on Nasdaq Stockholm. Some can, it's just not typically available in a vanilla US brokerage account. https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/home.phpWith Greece broke and no economy, and Chinas stock market crashing... is this all good or bad for bitcoin? so confusing Gold and silver are getting dumped. Bond yields are stable, there is no true fear yet. gold and silver are not being dumped, they are being suppressed/manipulated, there is a difference. rumor i heard is liquidity in bonds is drying up causing bond yields to rise and bond prices to drop . Absolutely spot on.People should be jailed for what they are doing to the metals markets right now. Not exactly. When SHTF in 2008, gold and silver crashed just like every other commodity and stock. People tend to fly to "cash" and bonds when things get dicey. Not saying that's rational, just the way it is, until it isn't. You are more likely to see flight to t-bills, at least initially, meaning higher prices and lower yields.

I totally understand, children do make things more difficult to just up and change, but I do know some people who have done it. For me it's more appealing to be attempting to be self-sufficient than being stuck in the middle of the masses during an economic meltdown/depression I've chosen to decentralize myself

Is that the bearwhale on Bitstamp back in action?
Can't spot it, but if it would try to break the uptrend now it would surely fail because it failed last time and the market is way more optimistic now

This is a fucking FALSE FLAG BULLSHIT FROM THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. WATCH CNN RIGHT NOW AND THEY WILL START SAYING NYSE WAS HACKED BY TONIGHT OR TOMORROW MORNING. IM CALLING IT RIGHT NOW.
They are GOING TO USE THIS TO TAKE MORE POWER FROM US. ISSUE NEW INTERNET CONTROL BILLS AND SUCH
And if they instead insist NYSE wasn't hacked, it's an obvious coverup to protect the 1% from having their infrastructure scrutinized (or something). Right?

Keep seeing big sell walls come and go, then wall disappears and 400 coins dumped, then sell wall comes back then off, etc.

Hrm. therefore they do not want people to think bitcoin is where to go, they want people to stay in the imploding 'interest to infinity' debt slavery system... at least until they get the 'big block of cheese day' ready .

Transaction spam continues... And with 1MB blocks, spammers get their fees back as the tx's get booted out of the mempool after 24 hrs. Cost free to continue indefinitely. I'm sure the curious newcomers will understand all about how BTC was intended only to be a settlement instrument with high fees as their first transactions get "stuck" in a maxed out system.

Spammers playing chicken with core devs. I predict that blocksize scaling is implemented this year.
