Silly me, I do PC repair amongst other things for an income. I get a lot of used discarded old pc's in for recycling.... before I ditch the hard drives I always have to test them and can't help but to check the apps/data/roaming folder  Grin Can't help fantasizing about finding an old wallet.dat file just full of forgotten coins....

Dream on I know  Roll Eyes

Unlocked of course... otherwise you would spend hours trying to recover.

The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

This will happen and be big news probably many times over. In 25 years, wallets with satoshis left in them will be the modern day treasure hunts.

Don't look at me like that! lol

Total BTC shorts per bfxdata is now below 10,000.  Shorts haven't been this low since December 2014. At the end of April it was at 34,000

Could you imagine...
BUT....now lets say you did find a wallet, locked of course, with say.... 13K coins in it, would you notify the owner? Would you then demand a "cut"?

BTW, I love being over 300 now. Seems a more comphy number for me to be honest. What is even better that my investment from the crash down to 180ish a while ago is almost doubled.

And so bitcoin's price should keep rising.
They are so scarce.
Mathematically, there are only enough of them for every 500th person on the planet to have one!

Hmmm.. not sure, and worthless if locked. But if I were the owner, I would want someone like me to let me know they found them, and would gladly give a cut. But its a little deeper with ethics and on the business side... explaining how I just happened to find them.... lol As a policy I never go into other folders... as its none of my business. Good drives get formatted and reused in repair. So? good question, hard to say  Wink

Haha congrats! I've just about broken even after 18 months of investing in bitcoin. I started buying around 600 dollars & have been rampantly buying all the way down to break even. I'm ready for the moon now. When you're ready bitcoin......
