-snip- We've all known for years that bitcoin would shine in crises. We've seen it proven a few times now. Nothing new about it. Impossible to predict and exciting to watch tho!
How do you mean? As in "ain't no way Danny Brewster or Ukyo Jon or friedcat or TF or [...] could've sleezed away with millions in fiat, but Bitcoin really came through," that sort of shine? Ya, so if you think you might need a million bucks in ransom in bitcoins at any point, well, get 'em while they're hot. That bitcoin ATM story! Priceless! Head shop/smash&grab/ATM/Bitcoin! I'm still laughing...

Ya, so if you think you might need a million bucks in ransom in bitcoins at any point, well, get 'em while they're hot. There are companies that make a business out of getting kidnapped people back. It may be wise for these companies to preemptively load up. One of the least attractive features of bitcoin is that it facilitates kidnapping. If they can prevent this, itmay be one of the few cases where the Bitcoin Alliance may actually do something useful.

Those scams will happen with fiat and bitcoin. Noone shines there. If I wasn't clear, I meant real crises. Usually government created, maybe long term, economic/financial crises. Examples are bank closures and forfeitures, monetary inflation, capital controls, embargos, etc. Not sure how to package those into a single word other than to call them crises (some short term, some long term). Which bitcoin will always shine in.

Shit. Fixed. But you gotta admit seven out of eight days and weeks is extremely rare occurrence. Even bitcoin doesn't go straight up forever. T'salright. A man is allowed to buy some booze with the proceeds of 50 coins he dumped on our heads in the 260's.

im mising $500 damn i can't online someday and now price drop to $400 any chance we can hit $500 again $440 At most. And we will leave the $400's so don't hold for too long then. My guesstimate target price is below $335 within 4 days from now. Lol your guestimate tells you nothing dickhead. What about shorting some more? xD

Is there really any point in trying to guess anything in the near future? There's not a great deal of rationality floating around at present.

Which bitcoin will always shine in. Well no, bitcoin lends itself to scam and crime particularly well, far better than fiat. That's why everyone from kidnappers to pedos to ransomwhare haxxt0rs are starting to use bitcoin. And that's why scams which got burnt down in the fiat real world sometime around the turn of (last) century are getting a new lease on life in bitcon world. But you say you don't mean those? So tell me, which crises did Bitcoin shine in, specifically? Since "We've seen it proven a few times now"?

Well you see...many on here are extremely naive and believe they can affect the markets through their comments...while the others can't think for themselves and need reassurance on a regular basis. Pretty sad really.

I have this weird feeling, looking at the SAR indicator, that we are only 15-20% done with this rally.

So, i agree with You, that is why every second poster here are on ignore (the lambs, trollfis, ignorants and such ofc:). It is still a fun place, and sometimes with interesting links, funny images/gifs shows up

Not sure if it was the best time to buy but I purchased some more bitcoin at $520 CAD. COME ON BITCOIN, FLY FLY FLY!
I imagine people who really have to use BTC (for *ahem* business reasons) are just hoping it doesn't come crashing down over-night. Stability seemed so much more legit. Right. So, if you happened to need to use Bitcoin today, you got stoned for it. And not in the way you expected. How do the darknet markets thrive with this kind of volitility? And another question: how does the Bitpay business model account for swings like this? If I buy a gew-gaw from Nick's Knacks at 480 and a minute later we're at 400, somehow Bitpay swallows the loss?

I am not under the illusion that I can influence the market. Because I cannot. I believe that I have a somewhat good understanding of what is going on though.
Use your own discretion to guide your trading decisions. Best of luck and happy trading!
